Rest assured there are several extremely good reasons “why” certain types of money making promotions are often referred to as smart marketing. And you and I would be incredibly wise to adhere to the proven principles utilizing these time tested strategies.
All around you and I are literally dozens of extremely low cost ways to systematically implement some smart marketing strategies and tactics.
Of course not all or most of them will be homeruns. But even so, you can expect more than your fair share of them to uncover some previously overlooked profit generating opportunities. Are you finally ready to start positioning yourself to get your share?
Part Of Being A Successful Entrepreneur Means Systematically Creating Maximum Leverage As Often As Possible!
And unlike the rather studious looking young lady in the featured image. Thank goodness you and I don’t have be anywhere near road scholar status. To at least inexpensively test various marketing approaches.
But you will need to be open to the untraditional marketing perspectives needed. Take your all too typical, non franchised small business owner and or service provider. Sadly when it comes to effectively evaluating their true income producing capacity of their business or service.
They only think in terms of selling their specific products and services. Failing to recognize and or appreciate how extremely valuable their current or future customer base.
Is to other local, non directly competing vendors. Case in point.
Just Be And Remain Open! And Watch Your Bottom Line Profits Soar!
Suppose you or one of your local, non franchised, non directly competing vendors owns a local mail box business. The vast majority of them are laser focused on 110% of the front end of their business.
Meaning they’re obsessed only with their products or services. But most of them don’t have any potentially profitable back end income streams.
So they (or you!) Are literally forced to try and make all of your gross profits on the front end of your business or service. But don’t or stop neglecting this potentially profitable component of your business or service.
So what do you think will happen if you and other non directly competing vendors. Start placing some of your best market tested, extremely time sensitive flyers and or index cards in each customer who has a business’s mail box.
And you might at least test the following extremely low cost marketing strategy. Initially offer to let at least four non directly competing vendors place a relevant offer in all of your business owners/service providers mail boxes.
And give them the choice to choose between either paying a monthly fee of $700 dollars or X.
Or they can pay you or your major competitors 25 or X% of their gross front end profits after deducting their actual hard costs.
Sometimes You Can And Definitely be Content To Earn Little Or marginal Gross Profit On Your Initial Front End! (In Order To Strategically Leverage And Monetize Your Long Term Back End!)
Of course long before you or your major competitors can even begin to explore the long term profit generating potential of your back end marketing possibilities.
You definitely need to at least have a basic understanding of what your ideal customers total lifetime customer value metrics are. So you know what and how much you can or can’t actually afford to invest in order to generate that all important first time customer.
(This way you can avoid becoming or remaining financially upside down.) So what if initially. You offered some local non directly competing vendors. The chance to pay just $475 dollars or X.
As an initial first time advertisers price. And if you already have your opt in email service setup. As long or provided these new 1st time customers join you or your major competitors opt in email list.
Then they qualify for your new 1st time customer only discount. So maybe your first time offering this particular promotion. Only two prospects are interested enough to invest $475 dollars each.
You still grossed $950 dollars, right? 😀 Which can be either applied to your monthly commercial lease payment. Or strategically used to offset some of your lead generation costs.
Clearly you can appreciate how many more creative marketing options you could potentially have, correct? That’s just part of the reason why they call it smart marketing. Any questions?
