(And How You Can Leverage Them To New Opportunities!)
Take this all too common marketing mistake. You constantly see being done on Linkedin.com. Notice the feature image with this particular post?
It looks blank, does it not? 😀 Typically, according to the most recent stats. A staggering 30% of all Linkedin profile banners. Are either blank. Like the featured image. Or they have some type of picture or something which has absolutely nothing to do with the services/solutions they provide for their ideal target audience.
This is what leveraging lost opportunities are all about. Would you not agree?

You may or may not be aware. Linkedin currently has a staggering one billion users worldwide.
So there’s more than a very good chance. Your ideal target audience is on the platform. (And so are your major competitors! :-D) But here’s why I’m showing you that blank feature image.
There’s an awful lot of experts on Linkedin. Who specialize in helping account holders profitably optimize their profiles. By my math. 30% of one billion is an impressive 300 million account holders.
Who definitely need these experts help, right? But that’s not all the various skills these 300 plus million accounts need.
They may want a state of the art, self hosted WordPress blog. Or they may also need your bank account filling copywriting skills.
So their opt in email messages are X% more profitable. But simply by better optimizing their Linkedin profile. They can convert it into a passive promotional asset.
It’s All About Being Of Service As Much As Possible!
Think about this. Would you pay for X amount for single sided business cards. Which are completely blank. Except for a headshot of you. In the lower hand corner. Or what about this? Would you invest your hard earned money.
In 30- 90 second prime time radio or TV ads. And have your spot say nothing? 😀 Or would you pay X thousands of dollars for either a half or full page ad. And the space is completely blank. Again, except for your headshot in the lower left hand corner.
Of course you can see and appreciate how ludicrous this would be, correct? 😀 Linkedin could hire some of the newer, reputable profile optimizers.
And charge these account holders could be offered special pricing. And outsource the actual work to these new service providers.
The account holders get their much needed service. And the new service providers get some much needed. Real world experience, right? Being of service to all the accounts on the platform.
May mean showing them “how to” create content which not only attracts their ideal target audience. But also generates leads and revenue too.
Remember they’re already a billion account holders worldwide. If you and I don’t learn ‘how to” properly service them. Then we’ll end talking about opportunities lost. And that’s not what you/we want, right?
