Do you use or ‘how” often do you use any type of paid advertising campaigns? Especially online, because even though your PPC (Pay Per Click) ad campaigns are definitely one of the quickest ways to get in front of your target audience.
Bare in mind they not only cost you both money and your time. But you also run the constant risk of having your ad campaigns temporarily or permanently shutdown. Would you not agree? Successfully building your business or doesn’t automatically mean constantly writing outrageously large checks.
Granted, if you and or your major competitors have direct or indirect access to tons of ad or promotional dollars. Then you have a whole lot less worries. Because you can relentlessly pound your message into your target audiences head.
But for the rest of us who don’t. Then you and I need some alternative marketing plans, correct?
You Can Call Them Basic Marketing Strategies Or Whatever You Like! (But The Fact Of The Matter Is They Definitely Work!)
Case in point. And as always the following is strictly for hypothetical marketing illustration purposes only. Let’s say you’re the sole or co-owner of a local non franchised, mom & pop family orientated bakery business.
While the vast majority of your local competitors, be the franchised or not. They rely heavily on their basically one and done front sales revenue. Meaning a customer (first or otherwise!) either comes into their shop. Or orders by phone. The order gets delivered or physically gets picked up and that’s pretty much the end of the transaction for them, correct?
And they pretty much wait for either the next customer to walk in or phone in an order. Here’s the amazing part. If they’re able to run a successful business being very reactive. But not necessarily proactive.
Imagine “how” much more successful they can be or become over time. Once they start systematically embracing some of the low hanging marketing fruit opportunities.
To this point they’ve barely embraced.
Since Virtually Every Successful Local Business Owner Or Service Provider Has Both Direct And Indirect Access To Your Target Audience! (Entrepreneur You Definitely Need To Be Power Networking With Them As Often As Possible!
Case in point. Wherever children’s cribs or kids toys or kids books between certain age rage are being sold by some type of non franchised business owners. You or someone in your organization needs to find a way to offer their customers. The parents of these youngsters.
Some of your best market tested, extremely time sensitive gift certificates as totally unexpected bonuses for doing this o that. And also start power networking asap with some of the most popular daycare facility owners.
Let these facilities offer your extremely time sensitive gift certificates and or discount coupons to the parents who either just recently enrolled their kids in their facilities.
Or ethically bribe them for paying their monthly bill ahead or on time. Because these parents, (both men and women BTW!) They definitely don’t live in a vacuum, correct?
Meaning they constantly socialize with other local men & women. Some of whom have kids of the same age. Or others who have grandkids their kids same age. Or maybe they own successful local businesses or successful services.
Each Previously Untapped Opportunity You Or Your Major Competitors Start Successfully Leveraging! (Definitely Leads Even More Potentially Profitable Opportunities Which Have Basically Been Hiding In Plain Site!)
For example. How big of a major splash do you think you and or your major competitors will make. With other local, non directly competing business get wind of the fact.
When the local parents and or legal guardians enrolled their kids into a certain daycare facility. And just for doing so. They received a “welcome gift” basket.
And one of the extremely time time sensitive gift certificates they received was from your bakery. And one of your totally unexpected bonus benefits is. The moment they spend over $20 or X number of dollars with you and or your major competitors. They automatically get grandfathered in for life.
And now they instantly save X% on birthday cakes as well as any time they buy a dozen of anything. They simply present their two sided laminated, lifetime index card.
And they get the bakers dozen savings of X% off. So in essence they receive 13 of whatever for the price of twelve. And as an additional sweetener, since you have special arrangement with a popular local magician who specializes in performing for kids between a certain age group.
Start And Consistently Leverage What Initially Appear To Be All To Common Situations! (And Watch How Your Business Or Service To Starts To Grow Exponentially!)
Every time a birthday cake or party package is purchased for kids between this specific age range.
You and or your major competitors automatically include a one page, (either single or two sided) flyer. For an extremely time sensitive, market tested offer from the local magician. Offering their services at an advantageous discount for purchasing within the next number of days.
Plus once every 90 days or so. The extremely marketing savvy magician will gladly do a group performance for both the parents and kids recently enrolled in the daycare facility.
Obviously they get free positive word of mouth and mouse exposure. both parents of the kids as well as the daycare facility owner(s) as well as their staff see the magicians performance.
And they all get extremely time sensitive premium discounts for hiring the magician. Plus you know a certain percentage of them will most definitely help spread the word as well, correct?
Entrepreneur are there any viable reasons you can think of “why” successfully building your business or service should automatically have to mean consistently spending a ton of money? Especially when there’s so many previously untapped marketing or promotional possibilities. Which are yet to be inexpensively A/B split tested.
