Up until now you may or may not actually think of yourself as an authentic content marketing strategist. And for whatever reasons you choose to provide. The extremely loose fitting label may not actually apply to you right now.
But as you continue moving forward on your totally unpredictable entrepreneurial journey. And you start to both accept and anticipate the inevitable ups and downs.
And the continuous give and take. Please be brutally honest right here. And answer the $64,000 dollar burning question. Are you content to simply try and use paid ad campaigns to scale your way up?
(It’s okay if that’s your current approach. Because many successful entrepreneurs have and are using that proven approach to successfully scale their businesses or services.)
Or are you also open to at least periodically providing some value content for your specific tribe?
Believe It Or Not Your Content Marketing Strategies And Tactics Are The Proven Gateway To Long Term Marketing Possibilities!
First of all, let me ask you an extremely pointed question. When you see/notice the featured image for this particular post. It’s issued or was officially issued by mega successful blogger and expert email marketing strategist Jon Morrow of smartblogger.com fame.
His company used to offer a “Guest Blogging” course. And those of us who successfully passed a final exam. We were rewarded that badge of honor/completion. 😀
Which I for one will periodically and enthusiastically share/showcase it in various creative ways. On future blogs posts or in future emails or mention it in my own future podcast episodes.
Does seeing that type of official looking designation or anything similar to it. In any meaningful way help you decide to do or not do some sort of business with someone?
If Ready Made Marketing Exposure Is What You’re Ultimately After! (Then You Definitely Need To Get And Remain Proactive With Your Value Driven Content!)
Please keep in mind at all times entrepreneur. Just because you and I run paid ad campaigns. A.) Doesn’t mean they will ever be profitable. B.) Or if they’re profitable on the initial front end. They will remain so.
On the other hand. When a prospective customer. Or even better. A potential long term repeat customer sees I along with other “Guest Blogging” students of Jon’s certification program.
Has successfully graduated and passed the course final exam as well. (Because remember, just because a law student has finished all their necessary courses. And graduated from law school. Until they actually pass the bar exam. They’re still not licensed to actually practice law.
My point being this. While my and the other successful graduates, who also passed their final exam. Clearly our “graduation certifications” are not real degrees of any kind. 😀
But I personally will showcase mine as often as it makes marketing/promotional sense to do so. 8-)pressive
It Never Ever Hurts For You And I To Have Some Type Of Semi Impressive Credentials To Prominently Wave In Front Of Your Target Audience!
And remember the primary reason for me prominently displaying my certification badge any and everywhere it makes marketing sense to do so. I’m attempting to attract more of the corporation types of national or worldwide publications.
At least some of them already know and respect Jon’s mega respected brand. Take a look at his blogs, (smartblogger.com)’s DA (Domain Authority.)
It’s Okay To Have Valid Credentials And Utilize Them As Social Proof! (As Often As Possible!)
Obviously my blog (and probably yours too!) My blogs current DA ranking is nowhere near 79. 😀 But I’m working on it. And here’s a nice extra bonus. Jon gave to all the graduates of his course. Who also passed their/our final exam.
They/we get featured in a special section on Jon’s website. But can only be seen by prospective clients looking for writers they can offer projects to.
Maybe a single project. (For a major a major publication of course.) Or the far more lucrative recurring writing projects. Just think “what” a few high quality backlinks from some major publications will do for:
A.) Your self hosted blog or websites DA ranking. Not to mention the potential laser targeted repeat traffic.
B.) For systematically raising your overall on or offline profile. Maybe a major publication also has a rocking podcast in your specific niche.
And they see your/our credential and reach out. Who knows “how” or “when” or how often opportunity will knock? Being a proactive content marketing strategist definitely can’t hurt. Don’t you agree?
