Entrepreneur deep down. (In your really private place.) There’s some part of you which simply has to be on board with that. Because let’s all face it already.
The bigger your commercial brand. The more potentially lucrative opportunities you or your major competitors will consistently attract. Don’t you agree?

Case in point. Ladies and gentlemen one of my newest clients is in the process of fully transitioning from the national hauling business. Into the general construction market.
And even though he and his crew are definitely considered part of the smaller players in his immediate area. He’s rapidly building a bankable brand.
And without having to go all in on the outrageously expensive, traditional ad route. Instead he’s banking heavily on the positive word of mouth and mouse route.
Granted, the big boys and girls in his immediate area. They primarily focus on the much bigger jobs. 😀 And rely heavily on both local primetime radio, TV. As well as an extremely proactive social media strategy as well.
To date, he’s yet to have a traditional website. And he’s not rocking social media. At least not in the same capacity as their major local competitors are.
You Keep Testing Your Various Marketing Incentives! (And Watch Which Direction Your Overall Gross Profits Go!)

Ultimately, depending on the long term success of the fliers. You can bet there will ultimately be some local, non directly competing vendors on the back side of his flyers. 😀
And who knows, maybe some potentially lucrative, Joint Venture (JV) revenue sharing arrangements can be formed in the process. 😀 And his company can start at least testing forming some potentially lucrative back end arrangements.
Hopefully you can better appreciate how building brand equity. And “why” you and I should be systematically doing so.
