In a previous blog post. You see where I made mentioned of the outrageous advertising costs. For a 30 second ad during the 2025 Super Bowl game.
According to some reliable sources. The companies who were able to. Spent a cool $8 million dollars for 30 seconds of exposure. To temporarily get their ad in front of 127.7 million viewers.
On the surface those are certainly impressive numbers, correct? It’s only after you start to deep a little deeper than the surface. Do you start to develop. A far more insightful perspective.
And how it pertains to outrageously expensive advertising campaigns. Wanna take a closer look?
Here’s The Potential Downside Of Outrageously Expensive Massive Marketing Exposure!
In the case of the 2025 Super Bowl game. It was the most watched event in American TV history. But let’s have a closer look, shall we? First of all. How many elementary, jr. high school, high school and typical college age students.
Do you think tuned in to not only watch the game. But actually saw any particular advertisers 30 second ad. And “how” many of the viewers do you think? Are currently either unemployed?
Or under employed enough. They’re not able to buy much of the advertisers goods. And “how” many of the 127.7 million viewers.
Actually have any interest at all? In the advertisers products or services.
But let’s say an impressive 5% of that 127.7 million are extremely interested in the advertisers product. Doesn’t that still mean a staggering 95 or X% aren’t? Interesting to say the least, correct?
Seriously Consider Advertising Costs! (And How You And Or Your Major Competitors Can Systematically Lower Them!)
Here’s something else to seriously consider. Even if X% of those viewers have any type of interest in the products or services being advertised during the game.
How many of those potential customers. Bothered to order the product or service during the actual game? Or how many viewers went to either the kitchen or bathroom.
So they didn’t see the advertisers one time 30 second ad. Which costs a mere $8 million dollars. The point is there certainly are an awful lot of uncontrollable variables to be carefully considered.
Before investing a nickel. In those outrageously expensive. Traditional advertising campaigns. Don’t you agree?
