How many of you are currently familiar with the iconic “thebusinesszonewithcrystalandgilbert.com” podcast? Featuring Crystal Mitchell and Gilbert Buchanan. (Or as I like to affectionately refer to them as the dynamic duo. :-D)
All three of us are of the mindset. Constantly making it happen! Is far more important and critical to dramatically increasing the odds of your long term success.
Than fixating on what happens or happened! I was recently invited to be a guest on their totally awesome podcast. In fact ladies & gentlemen. You see the feature screenshot image for this particular blog post? That was created to showcase my (and other guests!) Who appear on their show.
Pretty cool, right? But you simply won’t believe “how” my very first appearance on their iconic podcast actually turned out! But in order to find out. You’re gonna have to turn the page!
My Particular Story Is Proof Positive Playing The Long Game Is Definitely In Your Long Term Best Interest!
So here’s how this incredibly wild and pretty darn cool situation/mega opportunity actually came about. As some of you already know. For the past several years.
I and many others in the know! 😀 Have a paid monthly subscription to the highly recommended podcastguests.com booking platform. (Which you can also make a single annual payment and save a few bucks if you wish to.)
Basically here’s the super condensed version of how it works. Aspiring/potential guest podcasters like myself. (Worldwide mind you!) Can either join the platform for free. (Simply by joining their opt in email list.) And get a single, some what limited listing in their directory.
It’s the plan I initially started out with. And I later upgraded to the paid subscription. In order to generate even more laser targeted marketing exposure! (And more benefits! :-D)
(And BTW entrepreneur. To date at least 90 plus % of the podcasts I’ve been fortunate enough to appear on as a guest. Is a direct result of my paid subscription to their newsletter. And as of this writing I’m not a registered affiliate of any kind! Just in case you’re wondering! :-D)
But the podcast owners receive their subscription for free. And they typically receive it at least a couple of times per week. And they can browse through it. Looking for potential guests (like you and me!) To appear/be invited onto their show.

So Crystal or Gilbert saw my bio/potential benefits to their audience write up. And invited me to be a guest. (Thanks again!) And here’s where this steadily unfolding story gets even more interesting!

Unfortunately for me. ( I’m the current poster boy for Mr. Non Techie! :-D) I couldn’t figure out “how to” unblock/enable my current webcam and microphone settings. So both they and their audience could see and hear me! 😀
And they ended up just sharing some other major nuggets with their extremely loyal listeners/viewers. As we all listened in intensely! But here’s the really great news ladies & gentlemen.
They were gracious enough to invite me back! (How freaking cool is that?) And on top of that really great news. Later on that same evening. I was able to speak with Crystal.
And she and I ended up talking/brainstorming for about 90 plus minutes or so. Discussing various, potentially, mutually beneficial future collaborations. (I’ll definitely keep you posted. 😎
Whoever Told Or Somehow Convinced You! (You Need Some Type Of Advanced Degree From A Major Ivy League Institution To Make It Happen! They Are Simply Dead Wrong!)
Ladies & gentlemen for the record! (I am definitely not proud of the fact I’m simply not that techie!) And to save my life! I couldn’t figure out “how to” go into the settings on my HP laptop. In order to unblock/enable my microphone & webcam! So the Restream audience could both hear & see me! 😎
That being the case. I sure as hell will not allow that, (non earth shattering detail!) To prevent me from systematically making it happen! (How about you?)
So I’m not only rescheduled to appear on their iconic podcast very shortly! But the three of us going forward. May also be strategically combining our strengths as well. I’ll definitely keep you posted!
(And keep in mind. When Crystal & Gilbert broadcast their podcast. They use Restream. Which allows them to simulcast on Both Youtube, Linkedin and Facebook. As well as any other social media platforms they’re currently active on. 😎
