Cross promoting is an incredibly brain dead simple way to stretch your marketing dollars. For ex; think about the last time time you paid for some type of rather expensive traditional advertising.
Whether it was an expensive display ad or classified ad etc.
Have you noticed that, no matter how many times you run it, or how much money you pay for it each time. The moment you stop paying for the ads, guess what? Your ads stop!
On the other hand, suppose you create some relatively inexpensive two sided flyers, both you and your cross promoting small business partner(s) could and should insert one of your best market tested two sided lead generating cross promotional flyers inside the bags of every paying customer.
Cross Promotions Stretch Your Marketing Dollars!
one of the really effective ways you can strategically cross promote, is using powerful syndication cross promotions. Huh? For ex; suppose their are ten stores located in a local mini strip mall.
Three to five of you that are none competing, should get together and create a special laminated VIP new customer only discount, that they only offer to their best customers that spend over X amount of dollars. Of course you’ll need to inexpensively test various price points, in order to determine what price point consistently produces the most bang for your buck!
And this card gives your best customers and clients X % off any purchase (no minimum purchase required), and it can be good for the next three to six months! But here’s the best part, once the initial card expires, for just $7 dollars or X, they can renew it for the next 6-12 months!
But if they refer at least X number of first time customers to you business, you’ll gladly give them (more like) strategically reward them with X amount of your cross promotion partners free lead generation goodies. By way of your cross promotion syndication.
There Are Many To Effectively Use Cross Promotions!
For ex; suppose you periodically sponsor special events like workshops, where you feature recognized local celebrity authors or noted experts. You and all of your non competing cross promotion partners,, could and should cross promote the event to your specific customer base. And really reward (bribe) your top five customers, that refer the most these events!
It’s inexpensive and it’s win/win for everybody! Don’t you agree? That’s just a small sample, of how and why simple cross promotions are so effective and profitable!
