So What Can Private Guitar Lessons Possibly Teach You About Effective Email Marketing Strategies?

You know anybody who plays any particular instrument extremely well? Or do you know any drummers or guitar players? If so you probably never thought (in your wildest dreams), an incredibly skilled guitar player you personally know could provide, at least three potentially profitable – inspirational foundations, for consistently implementing some effective email marketing strategies or tactics.

Am I right or what? Of course on the initial surface it definitely seems a little far fetched. But once or as soon as you read and come to appreciate this incredibly logical train of thought. There is more than a very good chance you’ll probably agree?

Take a look and then you be the ultimate judge. Fair enough?

Ever Notice How Many Aspiring Entrepreneurs Constantly Ignore Or Overlook This Potentially Profitable Email Marketing Tips?

Case in point. Let’s say you own a single location Mom & pop style music shop type of business. And you sell both new and used instruments, plus you periodically sponsor a free drawing where the 1st grand prize recipients wins four or X number of weeks worth of free 90-120 minute music lessons.

Which is an X dollar value. (Which is a pretty cool grand 1st prize, is it not? ) But get this, the 1st grand prize winner gets their choice of either receiving either free electric or string guitar, piano, drums or bass lessons.

The store owner(s) themselves will not actually teach any the classes themselves. Instead they’ll find others within their local community. Preferably someone whose already a customer of theirs.

And they’ll coordinate with these individuals and either JV (Joint Venture) revenue share any gross profits from any ongoing revenue created by students who decide to sign up for additional lessons with each individual instructor.

Or they may decide to simply pay the instructors X per hour and sell 4-8 week training classes to each individual student. And simply net the difference between what they charge each student and what they pay each individual local instructor.

And base their ultimate decision on whichever approach consistently generates the most low hanging fruit revenue with the least amount of hassle.

So How Can Your Typical Local Music Instructor Scale Their Income Without Automatically Increasing All Of Their Traditional Upfront Out Of Pocket Expenses?

Actually there are a couple of simple ways for these local music instructors to gradually start increasing their front and back end (passive income) without having to automatically only trade hours for dollars. say what?

First they could be the ones to proactively approach at least few local, independently owned music stores. And offer to become their resident in house expert musical instrument teacher for locals interested in learning “how to’ play the X?

And let the music store offer one free bonus lesson valued at X to each customer who purchases either a bass, electric or string guitar, piano or basic drum set  valued at etc.

They could also suggest at least one day a week, the local instructor demonstrates their expertise by being in the store and play some of their most requested songs. This way the customers in the store get a pretty good idea the skill level of the instructor. And whether they want to take their classes.

You Don’t Have To Be Or Become A Marketing Guru! (But It Certainly Doesn’t Hurt To Know And Understand The Basics!)

Obviously each potential student will come into the training with different levels o skills, correct? This being the case, it definitely makes sense for the particular instructor to segment (sperate) their students by their particular skill level. So whether they consider themselves beginner, intermediate or advanced.

Their particular lesson(s) can be tailored and customized to their particular skill level. Which explains the marketing reasons and strategy behind the sample sign up form below.

It’s a rather Mary Jane plain sample sign up form any of the instructors could add to either:

1.) Their state of the art WordPress website or blog.

2.) Add to their state of the art lead capture/landing page. (And the reason it’s so watered down plain, is because in all likelihood, they’re initially not very good at any type of super sophisticated online marketing strategies or tactics, right?)

And truth told their potential students could really care less. They just want to learn “how to” play instrument X from a qualified source. Correct? So initially an incredibly basic sign up form as the one featured below, is more than adequate to start building their opt in email list.

This Is Why It’s Critically Important To Qualify And Segment Your List!

Basically by segmenting their subscribers, they can be sure each pre written follow up message or their previously unscheduled ‘broadcast” email message they send to each subscriber, is extremely timely and relevant to their specific needs and wants.

And hopefully you get the overall point which is, how you can and must segment (separate) your lists into the most relevant groups as possible. So for example. A karate, ballet, chef, piano or yoga instructor could have and definitely should separate their potential students into basic beginner, intermediate or advanced segments. In order to better serve them, agreed?

So that’s at least one of the initial critically important lessons, you and I can and definitely should learn from a private guitar lessons instructor. As they apply to implementing potentially profitable email mail marketing strategies or tactics. Any questions?
