1.) Strategy # one: how many times have you seen a company discontinue a product by drastically reducing the price of the item or items? sound familiar?
Is it effective, to a point, but it’s not the best way to maximize long term profits from a discontinued product. For ex; what if you allowed one of your non competitive joint venture partners to use your (hopefully) higher priced discontinued product as part of a powerful lead generating free drawing.
Think about the long term potential benefits. You can only sell (at a dramaticaaly discounted price) only once. On the other hand, by allowing your joint venture partner to use the discounted product as part of a free drawing.
You can build a list of potential long term customers and clients for peanuts. Especially if they run the free drawing for 60-90 days.
You’ll both get the list of names,and be able to strategically follow up over time. Which means you may (over time) be able to continuously sell them other more expensive products and services for many years to come.
Plus, benefit from their testimonials and referrals as well.
2.) Strategy # two: This one (while) rather obvious, will never occur to your major competitors. It’s a piggyback off # one. Instead of using this powerful low cost proven list building strategy with just one non competing small business owner and or service provider.
What if instead of just using one discontinued product in a free drawing to strategically grow your list, you used five. Meaning- you allowed five other small business joint venture partners to strategically use your discontinued items in an (in store) free drawing to grow both of lists.
Piggybacking A Successful Market Tested Strategy Is a Surefire Path To long success!

B.) Here’s the other untapped “situational marketing” selling opportunity. Your average (struggling) list broker, has no idea how to effectively market products or services.
Here’s where you come in, (if you don’t) currently have a free problem solving information product that targets a certain segment of their customer base. Create one asap!
And allow them to give it away as a free upsell bonus valued at X, to their best customers that (either) spend a certain amount of money or that purchase some type of list within X amount of days of the list brokers initial contact with them.

5.) Strategy # five: Who hasn’t heard that joint venture and or affiliate marketing isn’t powerful? It’s inexpensive and (when done properly) it can be extremely profitable for a fraction of the traditional upfront out of pocket cost.
This particular type of joint venture is easy to do, it’s called (email list) swapping. And just as the name implies. You find another small business owner and or service provider (with) a similar sized email list and the two of you simply email your best market tested offer to each others list.
Try not to approach potential JV partners whose email list is several times larger than yours. because more than likely, they’ll decline your offer.

1.) First let’s focus on your part time sales reps, especially if they’re college students trying to earn extra money during the summer months. Here’s one way your marketing expertise could really help them sell more of your special VIP “bounce back” offer discount coupons.
