Blogging

Create a blog.

So what’s the real reason you decided to create a blog?

(Otherwise You May Just Whined Up Spinning Your Wheels And Becoming Extremely Frustrated!)

So when exactly did you decide that you needed to create a blog?  Although that can (potentially) be a good thing.

But before you get too far gone in the entire tedious process. You need to be crystal clear on what your exact purpose is for doing so.

Because as know, blogs can be strictly recreational in nature and or for business. You can brand (either) your business or yourself.

But you have to adequately define your purpose from the outset, otherwise, if your intending to do business, you’ll need to understand, the limitations of using certain blogging platforms, such as blogger or live journal etc.

By the way, if the main purpose of your blog is to do business and generate income from products and services etc.

Then by all means, do yourself a favor and stay away from the so called free blogging platforms such as blogger.com or live journal.com etc.

Because even though these particular platforms (are free), and incredibly popular. As a serious business owner and or service provider, you are not allowed much flexibility.

And virtually no control over the type of content that you can post. And the  absolute worst part is.They can and often do, pull your content or (worst yet), shut your blog down for their own reasons.

And the net result is, there goes all your hard work, right along with it.

So Before You Take The Time To Create A Blog….

(Make Sure You Know Your Real Reasons Up Front.)

On the other hand, if you’re creating your blog (strictly) for business purposes. Then you definitely need to answer the following (minimum) seven questions.

This way, it will make your blogging venture far more meaningful and a whole lot less frustrating.

Because there  is absolutely no reason for you to spend the next six to eighteen months, driving highly targeted traffic (using both) free and paid methods.

Only to have the plug pulled. It happens far more often then you might think.

Seven Key Questions You Definitely Need To Answer Before You Decide To Create A Blog!

Because your honest (and complete) answers to these seven key questions, will ultimately determine whether or not you need a professional state of the art blogging platform, such as WordPress or whether one of the free popular blogging platforms, such as blogger.com will suffice.

1.) Question # one: As previously mentioned; decide up front, before you get too far along in the process. Are you seriously blogging to create income or just for recreation?

2.) Question # two: Are you willing and committed to sharing (blogging) helpful tips, strategies and other valuable “how to” problem solving information with your targeted niche, at least three to five days per week? If not more?

3.) Question # three: Have you properly researched your market, and determined if your prospects are actually willing to spend a substantial amount of money on the various potential products or services, you may be attempting to market to them?

4.) Question # four: Is there currently an active presence on various web 2.0 (and other) social media platforms, such as FB, twitter, linkedn etc.

(Because if there is, then you’ve definitely got a live active market.)

5.) Question # five: Can you see how blogging regularly can help build trust and all important online credibility with your target niche audience.

6.) Question # six: No matter what size your current business or practice is, can you see how a blog (preferably) WordPress can be instrumental in helping you build your personal or business brand?

7.) Question # seven: If your potential market is large enough (meaning) the keywords that you choose to target, in order to be found online via the search engines.

Perhaps it makes more sense to target a smaller more select sub niche inside a broader general niche.

For ex: If the broader (and far more) competitive market is focused on growing organic fruit in general.

You may need instead to focus on a more narrow (and hopefully) lucrative nice like: the medicinal benefits of cooking using organic lettuce. (provided, there is a such a thing of course.)

Of course there are many more probing questions, that you need to ask, before you decide to create a blog.

Keyword competition.

Understanding keyword competition is key!

(Especially If Money’s Tight And There’s Lot Of Competition In Your Particular Niche!)

If you’ve been online any amount of time at all, then you probably realize how vitally important is to to understand how keyword competition can (either) work for against you correct?

Sadly, far too many (otherwise) serious entrepreneurs, especially those small business owners and service providers, that primarily run successful local online businesses.

They (in far too many) cases, simply jump online (meaning) they typically spend way too much on the cosmetic (appearance) side to their sites, and not devote nearly enough time researching the specific keywords that will (both) target and attract their most qualified prospects.

How Understanding Keyword Competition Can Give You The Edge!

In other words, they don’t or haven’t been properly educated on how understanding keyword competition  can make all the difference.

And it doesn’t matter how they’re primarily generating their traffic. But this concept is extremely crucial if their using any paid methods like Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising methods.

Successful online marketing is complicated enough, but your problems really compound, when you don’t understand how keyword competition fits into the overall online marketing puzzle.

Basically, (on average) about 90% of the (long tail) keyword phrases that most online marketers try and rank for are pretty much worthless.

And the main reason being, because they get virtually no traffic. Because their not the real terms your  web surfers are typing into the text boxes of major search engines like Google.

(FYI: The term “long tail” keyword phrase just refers to any keyword phrase that has more than two words in it.)

And understanding how the remaining 10% can (either) make or break your chances for long term online success, is why understanding keyword competition is so vitally important.

How To Turn Understanding Keyword Competition Into A Profitable Advantage!

(Introducing Five Key Concepts You Gotta know Or else Your Online Venture Will Ultimately Fail!)

You can use the free Google keyword tool for your preliminary keyword research, but in order to really compete, you’re going to need a powerfully effective paid keyword research tool.

And no paid keyword tool meets today’s online keyword research challenges better than good old Market Samurai.

Otherwise, you’ll be at the  mercy of the market place.

Market Samurai has basically laid out five incredibly simple keys to (both) understanding and profiting from keyword competition.

Follow these five proven steps and you’ll consistently beat your online competitors like eggs! Go against them and your online business is (simply) a  train wreck waiting to happen.

Introducing Market Samurai’s Four Golden Rules To Turning Keyword Competition Into A Powerful Advantage!

Of course (at least)  a staggering 90% or more of your major online competitors (simply) have no clue about these five incredibly powerful (yet) simple online marketing concepts, as they relate to understanding keyword competition.

1.) Golden Rule # one: Their first Golden Rule is, (entrepreneur) make sure the “long tail keyword phrase” your trying to rank is at least semi relevant to the main keyword that’s its derived from.

For ex; if your main keyword is “mountain bike:, then your long tail keyword phrase, that your trying to rake for, had better be relevant to the term “mountain bike.”  (See the video for a more in depth explanation.)

2.) Golden Rule # two: Market Samurai suggests that your targeted keyword phrase get no less than 80 searches pay day. Which works out to 2,400 searches per 30 day month. (80 searches per day x 30 days per month = 2,400 total searches per month.)

Otherwise, that particular keyword phrase may not be worth all the effort.

3.) Golden Rule #three: Next, you have to get a clear idea of (not) only how many other websites online are (competing with you) trying to rank on Google’s first page for this particular keyword phrase.

But it’s also crucial, that you know the strength of those other competitors, your competing against. Meaning- knowing the age of their domain and how many high ranking “PR” (Page Rank) back links they have pointing back to their pages etc. (See the video for a complete explanation.)

4.) Golden Rule # four: And finally… Market Samurai also suggests, you have a fairly good idea of the “commercial value” that particular keyword phrase ‘currently” commands in  the Google PPC (Pay Per Click) market place.

Because, if it’s “commercial value” is too low, that’s ea red flag, that your targeted keyword phrase has no real commercial value in the market place, because no advertisers (or very few) are willing  to pay money to bid on it.

of course it goes without saying, that there tons more proven tips, when it comes to  effective keyword research.

However, if  simply follow and apply these four basic proven keys, you’ll quickly discover how to turn your understanding of keyword competition into a profitable (long term) advantage!

And to do so, your going to need a state of the art paid keyword research tool like Market Samurai.

Ezine article.

Need a proven, affordable ezine article marketing strategy?

Have you ever submitted an ezine article before? And for whatever reasons, you didn’t get a gazillion syndication’s  and your opt in email list building efforts didn’t explode by 400%.

Welcome to the real world. For sure  (so called) article marketing/syndication takes lots of effort and you gotta be extremely consistent, before you see any real bankable results.

What Every Newbie Marketer Should Know About Effective Ezine Article Submission…

However, typically what you’ll find on average (is) your typical brand new online newbie marketer, that has extremely limited resources.

They’ll often attempt at driving targeted traffic to their websites via blogging, they’ll start out really hot and heavy, and publish anywhere from five to fifteen original posts.

And perhaps submit another five to ten ezine articles to various article submission directories.

Then guess what happens next?  They pretty much fizzle out and erroneously conclude that article marketing doesn’t work.

But here’s a question for you. Have you ever loaned a friend or family member money? And whether they paid you back or not.

Would it be a stretch to go around telling people that your in the banking industry?

The point is, until you really know and understand exactly what it takes to make this incredibly powerful (long term) marketing strategy work, your ezine article submission strategy might fall flat.

You probably won’t be successful attempting to use this particular (highly sophisticated) marketing strategy.

Five Keys To Make Any Ezine Article Content Up To 25% More Effective!

First and foremost, you must know and understand that at least 85% (or more) of the top online marketers actively use (long term) ezine article submission strategies, but it’s simply one of the fastest, (not to mention) safest most effective ways to generate high quality back links.

The major search engines (like) Google, love to see your articles being submitted via blog networks (and or) through highly respected article submission sites, such as ezine articles dot com or article city dot com etc.

With that said; let’s now focus on the five simple keys to making your ezine article submissions up to 25% more effective.

(FYI: There is one particular caveat that you need to be aware of; the top marketers that effectively use massive ezine article  marketing submission strategies, typically have their own marketing submission teams that specialize in social bookmarking, posting in blog networks etc.

Sometimes they outsource all of these ongoing activities, or if they’re just starting out, they do them themselves. So don’t erroneously conclude that you can make all these miracles happen overnight, without a ton of consistent effort.

The other thing is, of course you realize these five proven tips, are merely an effective start of your (long term) proactive approach to a successful ezine article  submission strategy.

Ever Seriously Thought About Using Your Brand As A Brand?

1.) Tip # one: One of the very first things you have to do is spend some quality time upfront doing effective keyword research.

This way you strategically target the correct long tail keyword phrases that will get your content ranked on Googles 1st or 2nd page relatively fast.

Which means (entrepreneur) you need a really good paid keyword research tool, like Market Samuria. ( Just between the two of us, this is one incredibly powerful piece of software, that should definitely be a part of your keyword research marketing arsenal.)

2.) Tip # two:  The next thing you must do is, concentrate on consistently creating good high quality content that your readers want to read about.

Because it helps them solve their major problems. And it compels other (highly visible) influential ezine article publishers to want to syndicate (share)  your problem solving ‘how to’ content with their valued readership.

And the more influential ezine publishers that syndicate your content, the more high quality back links you’ll generate.

Your Ezine Article Marketing Strategy Needs To Be Consistent In Order To Effective!

3.) Tip # three: Remember this powerful key point that too often gets overlooked by the typical newbie online marketer that’s attempting to use article marketing for the very first time; don’t waste time trying to be creative, instead concentrate on what problems are nagging your niche market.

Then focus your (all important) keyword research on finding low hanging fruit keywords that you can build content around.

4.) Tip # four: Publish fresh problem solving (interesting) content to your personal (mobile responsive) WordPress blog, plus submit to the various ezine article submission sites often.

That way you’ll obtain expert status and your content will be given preferential treatment.

5.) Tip # five: And finally, don’t be afraid to re-purpose your written content into other forms of media content such as short ‘how to’ video content and audio podcast as well.

Hopefully You Do Realize Tons Of Incredibly Successful Brands Still Use Some Type Of Proven Content Marketing Strategy? ( Right?)

All this additional activity will make it up to 300% easier to find your content.

And that’s how you make your ezine article  submission strategies up to 25% more effective. No matter what your current niche market is.

Improve your bounce rates now!

Improve your bounce rates in three easy steps! (And Make Your Site More Sticky Too!)

Do you currently have any idea what your website and or blogs current bounce rates are?

If not, don’t panic, but if you don’t the chances  are extremely good that neither does (or at least) very few of your major competitors have a clue either.

(FYI: Just so you know, the term “Bounce Rate” simply refers to the percentage of first time visitors that land on a page at your site, (including) your homepage.

And they leave without visiting any other pages.

And basically as a general rule, any “bounce rate” over 60% probably means you need to do a little tweaking, (aka) testing and tracking.

First off, it’s important to keep in mind that you may only want a certain smaller percentage of the total of daily visitors to your site to actually go past the first page they initially land on, because of the specific nature of your product or service. Continue reading
