(As Often As You Can!)
Have you seriously considered at least some of the extremely valid reasons “why” you definitely should add guest blogging and guest podcasting to your long term marketing mix asap? For one thing they both can be done from the comfort of either your own home or office space. Huh? As often as you like.
Think about writing a potential or a series of potential guest posts. You or your major competitors could set aside one weekend and write X number of potential guest blog posts. Or you could appear on either a single or a series of guest podcasting interviews.
(Extremely important note: The new lesser known podcaster-s in practically every niche you can think of. Are proactively- looking for the lesser known potential guests like you and I.
So there are a gazillion and one of these shows with much smaller, (albeit) laser focused podcast hosts desperately in search of experts like us. So don’t be shy in both power networking and systematically reaching out and letting them know you’re available to fill the void.)
If this sounds like a potential opportunity worth fully embracing. Entrepreneur turn the corner and let’s get started.
So What Are These So Called Seven Potential Long Term Benefits Of Strategic Guest Blogging? (And Why Should You Even Care?)
Great questions. First of all, let’s use a different marketing illustration to hopefully get to the same overall theme. Let’s suppose you’re a licensed chiropractor with a thriving, (albeit) single location.
And your ideal patients gladly pay you $400 dollars an hour for your extremely valuable services. And from there you deduct your various ongoing expenses, (including your various taxes and fees) on each half or full hour billed.
And let’s say your front and back lawn on your upscale home definitely needs to be mowed asap. You could set aside 90 plus minutes one Saturday or Sunday afternoon and do it yourself. (And hopefully it’s not too hot or too cold, right?)
And since the going rate is $130 dollars for the front and back. Or $90 dollars for one or the other. Now provided you or your major competitors have your own opt in email list of 675 local subscribers/patients and ideal prospects.
You or your major competitors could send your list an extremely time sensitive – previously unscheduled “broadcast” email message.
Alerting both your current patients and prospects this Saturday only. You’re offering a 25 or X% discount off for the first ten or X number of patients who book and pay the full amount for next Saturday only.
And let’s say you or your major competitors quickly receive ten credit card or PayPal payments of $300 dollars each. So you gross $3,000 dollars. Minus all of your other ongoing costs minus the $130 or X amount of dollars for your front and back end lawns being done by a professional.
Okay Maybe Chiropractors Can Get Creative With Their Marketing Strategies And Tactics! (But What Does Any Of This Possibly Have To Do With Potential Guest Blogging Opportunities?)
Great question and so glad you finally asked it.
1.) First potential long term benefit: Entrepreneur whenever you and I strategically guest blog or guest podcast. We’re leveraging another non directly competing vendors already established audiences and their other resources or assets.
Like their 47,391 twitter followers or their 217,123 Instagram followers etc. It will take you and me quite a while (if ever!) to build impressive numbers like that, correct?
2.) Second long term potential benefit: You and I or your major competitors are also leveraging their current opt in email list of 21,735 subscribers.
3.) Third long term potential benefit: One potential guest blogging opportunity on an extremely high profile publication like Forbes or Entrepreneur magazine could potentially lead to them hiring you on retainer.
4.) Fourth long term potential benefit: Or you could be approached by an up and coming publication in your particular niche, (as a direct result of them seeing your work in another niche related publication.) And they offer to pay your going rate of $350 per guest blog post published.
Guest Blogging Just Like A guest Podcast Appearance Can Be Or Quickly Become The Hinge Which Swings The Door To Long Term Marketing Possibilities Wide Open!
5.) Fifth long term potential benefit: You could also be approached by a major player like Forbes or Business Insider with the following or a similar proposition. They’ll pay you or I a cut rate of $200 or X number of dollars per guest blog post.
But guarantee you ongoing exposure at least once a month in their publication. Plus personally introduce you to at least three other editors who are also looking to hire potential guest bloggers on an ongoing bases. (And these creative side arrangements can be or quickly become incredibly profitable.)
6.) Sixth long term potential benefit: You and I could also strategically leverage the much more visible guest blogging or guest podcasting opportunities to drive laser targeted traffic to your problem solving lead capture page.
And start systematically building your opt in email list. (And unlike the vast majority of your major competitors. You won’t be investing a nickel on these semi qualified subscribers.)
7.) Seventh long term potential benefit: Any time you or I can land any guest blogging or guest podcasting opportunities. Especially on any semi to highly visible blogs or podcasts. You are also receiving potentially valuable back link juice as well.
So hopefully without going any further. You now have a much deeper understanding and appreciation of “why” you and I definitely need to add some strategic guest blogging or guest podcasting to your long term marketing mix asap. Don’t you agree?
