(Why The Heck Not!)
Entrepreneur, after all you’ve been through (and have ) yet to go through! You still don’t believe that you can actually start a business, (literally) on a shoestring budget?
Really? “Who” put that crazy thought in your head? Anyway, it’s totally besides the point! But let’s be crystal clear and totally upfront here! You can forget about it being easy or convenient! It’s definitely gonna take some serious (not to mention) consistent work!
But with your natural abilities, dedication, commitment and hard work! You’ve definitely got what it takes!
So How Do You Start A Business With Virtually No Start Up Capital?
Entrepreneur, you’re kidding right? By now (you know) or you should, that’s what’s really going on here, has more to do with good old marketing leverage, than anything else correct?
Case in point: let’s take two (hypothetical) examples. The first one is relatively small and (probably) a little easier to digest and the other one is a little more involved! First let’s suppose that you just happen to make the best cupcakes and baking goods this side of Mrs.Fields!
But you’ve gotta slight problem, your money is a little tight. But you can’t let a little thing like (virtually) no start up capital stand in the way of your dream right? So here’s “how’ you can start to build both your reputation and an eager (and hopefully) repeat customer base.
If you happen to know anybody that’s a member of your local PTA (Parent Teachers Association), why not arrange to start supplying their meetings (or anywhere where potential hungry mouths gather) with your free samples of your totally irresistible (mouth watering) cupcakes or chocolate chip cookies etc.
They’ll get a chance to sample your wares and (you best believe ) a certain percentage of them, will definitely want to know where they can get more! Or you might try and(arrange) to leave some samples at your local hairs salon/barber etc.
And you’ll probably get the same results! That is, you’ll start to build a reliable customer/repeat customer base!
How To Start A Business Using Your Creative Marketing Leverage!
For hypothetical example number two: let’s suppose you’re really into designing clothes, and you’ve got some really promising designs. Now granted, this hypothetical example is a little more cash (start up capital) upfront intense! But basically, it’s still the same overall marketing concept.
First and foremost, find some people (preferably) women, that are really high profile in the particular niche that you’re targeting. So you might approach some successful high profile outside women sales reps and some popular local women public speaking figures to begin with. (And yes, this part of your marketing funnel will definitely take time to develop!)
Which simply means, it ain’t gonna happen overnight! Anyway, you use your extremely limited start up capital to create some limited (customized) design samples and you let your high profile women (or men!) wear them and basically become your twenty four hour free walking talking billboards!
And because they mingle among your target market, you can bet your future potential customers and repeat customers will come asking for their customized designer clothes too!
And of course this extremely powerful (not to mention) proven marketing strategy will work just as easily for your cash strapped jewelry business as well! (And probably be a whole lot less expensive!)For you to test!
In any event, (either way) if you’re wondering how to start a business,(realistically entrepreneur) especially on a shoestring budget, then look no further than the limited samples approach, and networking with the most influential people within your specific target market!
It’s obviously not the easiest approach, but it’s definitely worth it and doable! Don’t you agree?
