How A Struggling Manhattan Restaurant Could Use Offline Social Media Advertising To Hit It Out Of The Park!Part Two

As you previously discovered in part one of this series about “how” a struggling Manhattan restaurant owner could (not) only inexpensively, but strategically tapped into the tremendous so called offline “social media advertising” (aka) powerful word of mouth advertising buzz, which according to New York Times best selling author Jonah Berger, is where a staggering 93% of it actually takes place anyway!

Translated: the more and the faster you can create or generate positive word of mouth (and )mouse advertising! The faster and the further you can effectively leverage online traditional social media advertising as well!

How A Struggling Manhattan Restaurant Owner Could Put Offline Social Media Advertising Strategies To Work Online!

Just to quickly revisit two of the five offline social media advertising strategies that were outlined in part one. The following two enhancements will strategically build upon their foundation!

 

1.) As you recall from part one: strategy # one was this: the parking valet’s would be instructed to leave one the restaurant owners -wine distributors- most popular bottles of wine as a free gift inside every new luxury car that they park!

Along with a special VIP-time sensitive date stamped- invitation from the car owner to give to (either) a couple or individual to call and make reservations at the restaurant asap, in order to receive their free bottle of wine compliments of both the restaurant  owner and the wine distributor!

Obviously the benefit (to both) the restaurant owner and the wine distributor is; first, the restaurant owner has it’s current valued customer base referring that all important, future new first time customer!

And rather than going the outrageously traditional advertising route of buying expensive local newspaper, magazines, TV and local billboards ads and radio ads etc!

Instead, the mere cost of one of their local wine distributors most popular wines at cost, they can strategically build a loyal repeat customer base!

And second;one of  the local wine distributors most popular wines, gets circulated to local social movers and shakers for practically nothing!

2.) Also in part one: as you recall, strategy # five involved the restaurant owner finding out which of his best customers ran businesses and periodically hosted (either) private house parties or social events!

And when they did, they’ll routinely do one of three things:

A.) First: they’d gladly supply their business owner clients with a couple of bottles of their cross promotional wine distributors most popular wines, provided the  business owner agreed to host a few private social events at the restaurant!

B.) Next, the restaurant owner would also forward the name of any other business owners or clients of the business owner, to the wine distributor could send them a free bottle of one of their most popular wines!

Provided the business supplied the restaurant with a list of their VIP customers and clients, so the restaurant owner could send them a time sensitive VIP “New customer” only discount coupon, courtesy of the  business owner!

C.) And finally…The restaurant owner could also easily afford to offer their business owner, special VIP discount coupons (basically) a laminated card, they would offer three free desserts to any business owner that’s a part of their VIP small business club membership!

No annual fee! But every time they show up at the restaurant with a party of five or more! They automatically a free bottle of wine of their choice! Compliments of their cross promotional local wine distributor! And at least three of the desserts that gets ordered are free!

That should really put the offline social media advertising (aka) positive word of mouth buzz, into high gear! don’t you agree
