Why Bother Asking For Referrals!

 (When You Can Use This Powerful Word Of Mouth Method  Instead!)

Given the choice, who really wants to be bothered, asking for referrals? Agreed! But what is a viable alternative you (skeptically) ask? Good old fashion marketing (entrepreneur) what else? Huh? You read that right! Why not start using some little known proven marketing methods, to consistently generate bank account filling word of mouth advertising!

(When You’re Far Better Off Compelling Your Best Customers To Generate Them For You!)!)

Entrepreneur, do remember “how” Hotmail originally went viral? When the original creators of “Hotmail” first started, they invested very little in traditional type of upfront out of pocket money on marketing/advertising strategies! Instead they used and harnessed the power of email and powerful “word of mouth” viral marketing techniques to get the word out! And boy did it pay off!

As you (may) or may not recall. They simply added their signature file at the bottom of every email they sent out and primarily started by encouraging Internet savvy college and high school students to send their link to their friends and family members, offering a free email account, when they signed up!

And the net result was, just twelve short months later! These two relatively unknown small business owners, had successfully built a multi million dollar asset! That they eventually sold to Microsoft for several hundred million dollars!

The point is, they didn’t bother (in the traditional way), asking for referrals! Instead they compelled their target audience to do it  for them!

 How And Why You Should Emulate This Exact Same Proven Blueprint!

Let’s take for example, your local furniture store outlet. What if the next time you shop at one. You notice as soon as you walk in, a giant display, right in the middle of the store. Free drawing! And their offering a nice six piece bedroom set that normally retails for $4,844 dollars! (Or more!)

Who could resist? And within 90 days, they’ve collected 1,500 emails addresses! (Or more!)

Because the only way you can enter the free drawing, you’ve got to be a VIP customer! No exceptions! And the only way to be a VIP customer, you’ve got to be on their email list! Bingo!

Now, then, once the free drawing is over. The real fun stuff begins! For instance, they could send their 1,500 (or whatever) the actual number of VIP email subscribers is, a special broadcast email alert!

Let’s say they’re having a “closed to the general public” blowout- discontinued items- clearance sale! And say they’re offering between 30 -50% off everything, that’s being discontinued!

However, every person that brings at least two new first time customers with them over 18! And as long those two people both join their list. They automatically get an additional 20% off, on top of whatever their already saving!

Plus! The first two people, one man, one woman, or the first couple to spend over $800 dollars total!  ( Or X amount.)They automatically get his and her $2,500 dollar Rolex watches! And the first ten people that spend over $500 dollars each! They each get $100 dollar gas cards!

Do you think twitter and Facebook will be getting any activity! And “how” about when that couple or two individuals get back to work, or their places of business! Do you think they’ll be bashful about sharing where they got their Rolex watches from? No way!

(And just in case you’re wondering, the furniture outlet  will get those fancy Rolex watches from their joint venture partner local jeweler connection!

Because that jeweler will definitely want access to that VIP email list! So it will be more than worth it to them, to sell those $2,500 dollar Rolex-es at their actual cost, to the furniture outlet!)

In the mean time.What do you think will happen the next time those 1,500 plus VIP subscribers get an email about an upcoming “blowout discontinued sales event!” You got that right! That in a nutshell entrepreneur, is why you don’t wanna bother asking for referrals?
