Customer Retention Strategies: You Don’t Often Hear About!

If you want you can definitely spend a ton of money on outrageously expensive advertising campaigns. But if continuously writing big checks isn’t a viable option just yet.

Then you may wanna take a closer look at some extremely low hanging fruit, customer retention strategies and tactics. Because sometimes it’s a whole lot easier to lower your upfront out of pocket cost. In order to increase your long term profitability.

Given the choice, at least attempt to get both your current and future customers to systematically spend more. Plus come back more often. As opposed to constantly spending a fortune. Trying to generate first time customers. Does that make sense?

There’s Absolutely Nothing Wrong With Utilizing Some Creative Marketing Incentives To Create Long Term Customer Loyalty!

For just a moment. Turn to any channel on your TV. Where major network TV has various types of programing. And if you can stand it. Watch “how” ads both national and local you see being run over and over.

It may not seem like it. But this is an outrageously expensive way to advertise your business or service. And it’s mildly effective at best.

Because this approach is outrageously expensive mass marketing and totally untargeted at best. And one of the main reasons it’s an outrageously expensive approach. Is because you or your major competitors have to run the ads over and over.

Before the general public barely notices. And even after they do. It typically still takes a ton more of expensive exposures. Before even a small percentage of the audience will buy anything.

This is why your typical small business owners or service providers, who attempt to use traditional advertising/promotional methods. End up either going broke.

Or their cash flow suffers tremendously.

For just a moment. Imagine what will probably keep happening as the following hypothetical situation continually unfolds. An extremely popular women’s cosmetic distributorship.

They suggest several of their top female employees. Including their top female managers/supervisors do, (or at least!) Inexpensively test the following, non traditional marketing strategy.

They initially start out by going to at least a few of their favorite local hair & nail salon owners. They the shop owners to -two dozen donuts or pastries. And a gallon of the donut shops most expensive coffee.

Then ask both the owner(s) and the stylist to sample several fragrances. And if any one particular fragrance stands out more than the others.

They lightly spray that particular fragrance throughout both shops. 😎 You can probably guess what happens next, right?

Whenever You Can Attempt To Leverage Your Positive Word Of Mouth And Mouse Buzz!

The other way the extremely marketing savvy fragrance distributor helps these vendors. While simultaneously helps themselves too. For literally pennies on the dollar.

They reach out to some of their top local JV (Joint Venture) or top local cross promotional partners. And offer their new customer only, extremely sensitive discount coupons to both salon owners customers.

This inexpensively creates some on and offline positive viral buzz, correct? Because these incredibly simple marketing/promotional strategies are also relatively expensive.

And they create repeat customer loyalty and positive word of mouth and mouse buzz. And because the cosmetic distributor knows their ideal customers. total lifetime customer value metrics.

So they can easily & inexpensively afford to sweeten the pot. By periodically sending their top female employees to both shops.

And giving the first 25 or X number of customers of both shops. Who spend at least X amount of dollars. They automatically $25 dollar gift certificates to popular local grocery stores.

These ladies will enthusiastically share their totally unexpected good fortune with both their personal & professional inner circles, right?

This ongoing buzz will definitely lead to more & more repeat customers for both salons, correct? And this increase in repeat and new customers. Will also lead to new customers for the cosmetic distributor too.

But these same new customers. Will also receive some extremely time sensitive discount coupons from the distributor too. And rest assured a certain percentage of them will take advantage of those extremely time sensitive offers.

In a nutshell entrepreneur. This is how you or your major competitors, can inexpensively create some long term customer retention strategies. Are you okay with that?
