When was the last time you actually applied the following five proven direct mail marketing tips to any one particular mailing that you’ve done, say within the last six months or so?

By the way, one of the ways that you  make direct mail work is by consistently staying in touch with your best customers and or clients. Which means, you need to periodically (if) nothing else, contact them (via) some sort of snail mail, at least once every 60 days or so. Even a simple (yet) highly targeted snail mail postcard, mailed to your existing customer base, can and will yield positive results.

As long as you remember, to make them a relevant incentive based (meaning) either you offer them some sort of really desirable free bonus inducements, just depending on how expensive your main “irresistible offer” is, or your extremely time sensitive VIP discounted price is so over the top, they simply can’t afford not to take advantage of it.

Then you might seriously consider enduring a temporary (slight) loss initially upfront, on your front end marketing process, provided, you’ve run your numbers, and you realize that there’s some serious long term profits to be made over time, on your back end follow up marketing process.

 2.) Proven direct mail marketing strategy # two: Don’t get overly concerned about your initial front end response rates, if you’re still managing to turn an initial profit on your front end mailing.

Case in point: you may not realize it, unless you or someone you know currently works in the highly lucrative credit card industry. Fairly regularly, the credit card companies (can and do) routinely make tons of money, on mailings with initial front end response rates of just one percent!

(Of course, let’s be crystal clear here, they’ve mailed (tested) over the years, literally millions upon millions of dollars worth of various offers, to their various lists, and now they’ve got it done to a science, pretty much!)
