For Now Forget All The Fancy Marketing Gimmicks! Part Two

As you’re about to read part two of this ongoing series. Hopefully part one made it at least partially clear ‘why” you and I or the aspiring young female hand artist, who draws some awesome portraits using primarily pencils.

You really don’t need to try and rely on non sustainable or cost intensive marketing gimmicks of any kind in order to really make a go of things. Don’t you agree? And as previously mentioned in part one.

Entrepreneur while even the most practical guerilla marketing strategies and tactics can definitely help you and I initially move off center. Your best strategy especially long term is not to try and go head to head with much better financed and far more experienced and sophisticated business owners or service providers.

Especially when you’re first starting out. Instead you and I want to systematically leverage the various resources, contacts, assets and connections you already have both direct and indirect access to. And strategically build out from there. Sound like a market tested plan you can live with?

Entrepreneur Your Best Viral Marketing Campaigns Don’t Have To Start Out Viral In Order To Ultimately Become Incredibly Successful And Profitable!

So quickly picking up where part one left off. Even though this aspiring and entrepreneurial hand artist may not have a huge traditional advertising or marketing budget just yet. She can still skillfully leverage her various non traditional promotional assets and resources.

Say for example. If she has either a husband, brother, live in significant other or boyfriend etc. Find out where they currently get their hair done. And approach the barbershop owner(s) about creating a portrait of them at ten percent above her actual cost. Provided the owner(s) agree to hang the portrait on the wall of their barbershop.

This way all of the shops current and future stylists and current and future customers will see it as well. Initially she will gladly grandfather all of the barbershops current and future stylists in at 20-30% off.

Twenty percent off if they only want one portrait done. Thirty percent of if they want at least two done. Maybe one o themselves, plus one of their spouse, live insignificant other, girlfriend or one of their kid.

People Love To Have Really Nice Looking Portraits Made Of People Or Things Which Are Important To Them!

Here’s another incredibly simple marketing strategy for her to grab the attention of both the owner(s) of the men’s barbershop, the current and future stylists.

As well as the current and future customers. She could agree to do at least two portraits at cost. Of two of the owner(s) favorite sports or entertainment icons. Maybe one of NFL grid iron legend Tom Brady. Or NBA superstar Lebron James. Or former NBA hall of famers Michael Jordan or, Shaquille O’Neal or Allen Iverson.

Or they could do a portrait at cost of one of the barbershop owner(s) favorite dream cars. For a second think of the impact of the aforementioned groups seeing these really cool portraits hanging on the barbers wall.

You know it won’t be too long before at least some of the other current or future barbers or current or future customers will definitely want a similar portrait of their favorite superstar athlete(s), entertainers, favorite dream car(s) or their kids, spouse or live in significant other.

Or their significant others kid(s) from a previous relationship. Hopefully both you and she can see and appreciate all of the previously untapped marketing possibilities.

Entrepreneur It Never Hurts To Strategically And Systematically Build Your Own Database. (On Or Offline!)

And let’s say for whatever reasons she still doesn’t have her own state o the art WordPress website yet. Nor does she currently have her own paid email service provider.

She could still offer the owner(s) of the men’s barbershop, (or the hair or nail salon owner(s) future discounts on future portraits. In exchange for setting up a bowl on a table underneath one of their portraits. Promoting their free drawing.

Each entrant simply fills out (prints) their first and last name and main phone number on a blank index card she provides. Or if they own their own business or service, they simply drop their card in the bowl.

And depending on “how” long it takes her to complete a typical portrait. She could simply text each weeks 1st grand prize winner. And text another 10-15 entrants.

They have won an extremely time sensitive second prize valued at X. They respond within the next X number of days and they save X. Otherwise they only save Y.

There’s a very good chance she’ll consistently have more than enough interesting work on the side to keep her extremely busy. Plus you know at least some of her extremely happy customers will be steadily helping her build her brand.

Because they’ll be constantly showing off her work all over social media, agreed? That’s “why” she won’t or doesn’t need any type non sustainable marketing gimmicks in order to create and maintain a full or part time income. Don’t you agree?
