Now that you’ve initially had the chance to read and hopefully re-read part one of this ongoing series. You now or you definitely should have a much better grasp and appreciation of why you or your major competitors should strategically embrace some proven, business marketing strategies and tactics. Don’t you agree? Good. Me too BTW.
Sadly the vast majority of your major competitors are deeply committed to constantly wasting a ton of money on some outrageously expensive, dismally performing, traditional advertising or traditional lead generation methods.
And they, (hopefully not you!) have the draining bank accounts to prove it. You on the other hand. If nothing else can and definitely should inexpensively A/B split test various non traditional lead generation methods and techniques.
And by systematically doing so. You will ultimately uncover previously untapped marketing or promotional opportunities. And at least some of which. Can and will ultimately payoff big.
Provided you’re willing to be and remain proactive. Otherwise you or your major competitors will be constantly chasing success. But unfortunately rarely if ever arriving.
So How Do You Create Customer Loyalty And Retention For literally Pennies On The Dollar?
So glad you finally asked. Quickly picking up where part one left off. As you recall. You’re an up and coming local interior designer. And you’ve decided to inexpensively marketing/promoting your services.
By initially offering free 45-60 minute mini offline workshops in all places. Local non franchised floral shops. In upscale areas of town of course. Your thinking bring. The men and women who frequently shop at the floral shop.
Even if they don’t immediately or ever need your particular services. More than likely. They either. A.) Currently works with someone who does. or will. B.) Used to work with someone who does. C.) Is related to someone who does or will fairly soon. D.) Has a neighbor who either does or knows or is related to someone who does or will. E.) Either has a current or future co-worker or in law who does or will.
So you eagerly sponsor (100%) finance these free on and offline workshops. Because the broader and deeper you can systematically and strategically get the word out. The more business and positive word of mouth and mouse buzz you’ll strategically generate. Agreed? Absolutely.
Please Don’t Limit Yourself By Believing You Have To Market Or Promote Your Products Or Services A Specific Way! (Because You Definitely Don’t Have To!)
Case in point. (Provided!) you’re not camera shy. You should also definitely inexpensively test do at least 5- 7 Facebook lives. Where you lay out the three or X most common ways, home owners typically end up spending at least 25% more for their interior designers than they need to!
Or “why” the average home owner often ends up with the wrong type of interior designer. And as soon as you’ve done some critically important market research.
And you discover your ideal prospects real pain points. Your state of the art WordPress website or state of the art lead capture page. Should start offer your free list building giveaway.
Because doing so will make it far easier to create your VIP opt in email/text message list. (And if need be.) You or your major competitors will also seriously (either) conducting your own. Monthly 90 – 120 minute paid workshop via your local adult education centers. Or whatever the equivalent type classes are called in your specific area.
Here’s the primary reason for you or your major competitors teaching a monthly, basic interior design class via a popular, local adult education center. At the end of every class.
Each student participate will receive an extremely time sensitive gift certificate. Where the ultimate recipient not only saves at least 25% off of your products or services. Provided their one of your VIP opt in email or text message subscribers.
The Easier You Or Your Major Competitors Can Make It For Your Ideal Prospects and Customers To Access Your Products Or Services! (The Faster Your Business Or Service Will Grow!)
But they are free to pass along to whomever they wish to. And if the ultimate recipient uses it before it expires. As long as the person who originally shared it with them. Is one of your opt in email or text message subscribers.
They earn a 25% referral fee. Say what? otherwise, if (for whatever reasons!) they don’t want to become a subscriber. They only earn 10% per referral. And their 25 or 10% referral commission is based on your gross net, initial front front end profit. (Not the initial gross front end costs to your customer.)
And remember. You’re not really banking on the students who take your basic interior design class to actually become customers. Instead you’re merely looking to strategically and inexpensively, continually tap into their professional or personal inner circles.
And have them giveaway some of your best, market tested, extremely time sensitive gift certificates. Between all of you or your major competitors proactive marketing activities.
These non traditional, business marketing strategies and tactics will ultimately yield some bank account filling results. Don’t you agree? Me too.
