And help minimize your weaknesses. You open the door to some potentially profitable, power networking opportunities. Which until now are virtually untapped.

And the vast majority, (95%) or more of your major competitors are completely unaware of. So even if you partially implement these proven marketing strategies or tactics.

Without being a seasoned expert. You can and will move your business or service forward. For a fraction of the traditional upfront out of pocket cost your major competitors are used to investing.

Say for example. You’re the owner of a Mom & pop moving company. And you currently have four trucks. And five full time drivers. Because one driver is part time, and only drives about three days, a total of 24 hours, three eight hour shifts per week. A little more during the summer and year end holiday rush.

This being the case. Like every other, semi cash strapped, resourced challenged small business owner or service provider. Trying to rely on the conventional methods of asking for referrals simply wasn’t consistently generating a reliable cash flow. Right?

However, when you slightly adjust your marketing perspective. And you start to view referral marketing strategies or tactics from a slightly different perspective.

You slowly begin to appreciate how many different, previously untapped opportunities there truly are. For you or your major competitors, to get in in front of your ideal prospects for literally pennies on the dollar.

Case in point. Start creating a potential list of at least 5-7 other local, non directly competing businesses or services. (Who you sort of already have some form of business or personal relationship with.)

Which also generate some form of one time or ongoing income streams from the exact same customers. (There is absolutely no real reason why you or your major competitors don’t consistently get your fair share.)

Be Or Become A Pro-active Participant In Your Own Power Network Inner Circle!

Think about a few of the potential, (if nothing else), cross promotional partners, just waiting to be discovered. If you happen to move an individual or couples furniture.

Either from one home to another. Or from one apartment to the other. If they’re homeowners. Especially new homeowners. They’ll definitely wanna know, who the most reputable plumbers or roofers are, correct? Absolutely. They’d probably appreciate knowing where they can find a reputable lawn care professional too.

Then again what about a reliable auto mechanic. Even though they probably already have one. Your potential resource maybe brand new to them. A homeowner, new or seasoned, might also appreciating knowing which company does quality repairs or home remodeling, right?

And of course a retail furniture outlet should definitely be an active member of your network as well. Don’t you agree? If they’re moving into an upscale home. You might wanna add a reputable CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or a reputable CFP, (Certified Financial Planner) to the mix as well.

And remember your all important 80/20 Rule. Huh? Meaning no matter what.

Twenty percent of your current or future customer/client base. Or social media marketing efforts, will consistently create or generate 80% of your bankable results.

Be Sure You Track Your Marketing Or Promotional Activities So You Know Exactly What To Continue! (And What To Put An End To!)

Case in point. Currently, I’m active on twitter, Facebook and Linkedin.  But to date. Of the three. Clearly, Linkedin has been where I’ve received and consistently produced the most productivity from.

Have a look at a few recent screen shot images below, from a few recent contacts on Linkedin. I’ve had more guest blogging opportunities and podcasting offers or cross promotional opportunities sent my way via Linkedin.

Than any of the other social media marketing platforms. Which for now, means  80% of my social media marketing results, are consistently being produced on Linkedin. So it definitely makes sense, to focus the majority of my social media marketing efforts and resources, on Linkedin. Don’t you agree?
