Basically this post is designed to help you earn more without having to re-invent the wheel. In short, why not look for some inexpensive creative ways to earn more money and long term viral marketing leverage from everything you currently do.

For ex; what happens when you (meaning) all of us make that occasional mistake/screw up? What three basic steps do you implement immediately to (not only) make things right? But hopefully, put the proper sequence of events in place to prevent it from happening again.

For  sure most of us are (simply) reactionary marketers. Meaning- after disaster strikes you (we) go into reaction mode!

Which brings us to this first think outside the box pro-active marketing strategy.

1.) Strategy # one: Your absolutely leaving an untapped fortune on the table, if you’re not currently tapping into your customers rain check opportunities!

Think about it for just a second. How times has your valued (one time) and or repeat customers taken the time to (either) directly complain and or experience the dreaded “Sorry for any inconvenience because we’re temporarily out of stock” stickers.

So if that’s all they came in for (in the case) of a brand new potential first time customer, they more than likely, simply leave and (either) head straight to your nearest competitors store and or  never return or both!

Either way (both) short and long term you lose! On the other hand; what if you start systematically rewarding your customers whenever you need to offer them a rain check! Huh?

What if (ten) or more of your best non competitive local joint venture (JV) partners got together and sponsored an ongoing “grab bag” opportunity.

Meaning- from now on instead of just having your cheesy “Sorry for…) the blah..blah..blah.. stickers, instead have your associates allow those customers to reach into one of grab bags and win some  really cool instant prizes courtesy of your joint venture partners!

This type of low cost power customer service move really helps build long term repeat customer loyalty, not to mention  some powerful free positive viral word of  mouth buzz!

2.) Strategy #  two: This next one just naturally piggybacks off # one. That being, you start strategically letting other non competing businesses that directly complement yours, start passing out your best market tested index cards, coupons and or business cards to their valued customers and or long term repeat customers and clients etc.

Anytime they mess up and or can’t deliver to their customers exactly as promised!

Strategically Use The Occasional Mishap To Create Potential New Long Term Customers For Peanuts!

3.) Strategy # three: This next one is huge! So pay close attention to this next untapped long term goldmine.

Right now for any number of reasons (small business) ownership in general and entrepreneurship in particular is simply exploding! That being the case, the next time your in the mall, be on the look out for entrepreneurs that rent those outrageously expensive carts (especially) during the crazy rush hour holiday season.

Those cash strapped small business owners could really use your help! First off, their probably paying (on average) anywhere from $1,500 -$3,000 grand per week just to rent those tiny carts!

Which means, they have to at least recover that much each week, before they’ve earned a penny! So what if four of you (meaning) four other local small business owners ( that are  non directly  competitive) vendors step up and invest $600 dollars each.

That’s a grand total of $2,400 dollars. Now ever dollar over $600 dollars is profit for the vendor instead of every dollar of $3,000!

Which scenario do you think they’d prefer? And in exchange for your generosity, they simply agree to offer anyone that approaches their cart, a chance to reach into their newly created grab  bag!

Be Sure You’re Constantly Leveraging The Many Advantages Of Direct Marketing Strategies And Or Tactics!

4.)  Strategy # four: This next strategy piggybacks right off # three: Practically every town has one of those annual events in the park and on the street.

You know where a ton of local vendors gather and sell really over priced food & beverages for whatever  reasons!

Why not approach some of these vendors and offer to be their sponsor, (meaning) you and your other JV partners will cover their temporary license fee (in exchange) for them using every bodies coupons as powerful free upsell bonuses.

You’ll pick  up potential new long term customers and clients literally for peanuts! And the best part is, they’ll be right under your competitors  nose!

And they’ll be busy blowing a fortune on expensive, (not to) mention extremely wasteful traditional advertising methods such as, local newspapers and radio etc.

You’ll not only get their business, but their referrals and bank account filling testimonials too!

Your Long Term Marketing Success Is Only One Or Two Proven Strategies Away!

5.) Strategy # five: This last one is simply an evergreen marketing strategy. Meaning – the opportunity to apply them never ever goes away or gets exhausted!

Everyone of your non competitive JV partners needs some powerful free bonuses to give to their best repeat customers, top customer service reps, top sales reps, employee/associate of the month.

And or their best vendors employees and or most improved departments or most improved shifts etc!

The point is, they could creatively use (both) your and the local vendors coupons to reward their base.

Any one of these incredibly simple think direct marketing strategies could easily be drilled down into and used as a stand alone marketing strategy by themselves!
