Why Waste A Ton Of Money On Expensive Advertising When You Can Power Market Instead!

Have you ever had, or experienced that total sinking feeling, when you pay, (or if you prefer), invest your hard money, on some form of accepted, traditional advertising,and for whatever reasons, it just flat out bombed?

If not, don’t you worry champ, you most certainly will! And let me tell you, having experienced the feeling a gazillion times, (over the years), both on and offline mind you.The feeling definitely sucks!

And while you never ever get totally comfortable with the temporary bad (emotional and financial) feelings associated with a failed advertising/marketing campaign.You recognize it’s merely a long term part of the discovery process.Otherwise known as testing.

And because all extremely savvy marketers know, and understand, (consumer rejection) is definitely not personal! You lick your (temporary) wounds, dust yourself off emotionally, chalk it up to experience, take notes, (hopefully learn from it), make your necessary (marketing adjustments), and implement your newly revised marketing/advertising twists!

And so it goes, all the while, knowing and understanding, your ideal marketing/advertising mix, is just one or two, strategic A/B split test away from success!

But (entrepreneur), whenever you can, try to avoid spending huge sums of money, on outrageously expensive advertising campaigns, when a little strategic power marketing, will  better serve your purposes instead!

So Why Waste Money On Big Buck Advertising Campaigns When A Little Strategic Power Marketing Will Better Serve Your Needs!

So think about one of your areas top real estate brokers, who specializes in upscale residential homes, in the price range of $500,000 dollars and up. And this particular broker, (a husband & wife team), has twelve years experience.

So they have lots of past, satisfied customers, they’ve also got excellent, ongoing relationships with some of the top attorneys, who specialize in real estate closings.

And of course, their business Rolodex has at least three, reliable financing sources, to help their clients, (first) qualify, to determine “how” much per month, they can actually afford to pay, for their dream home.

And also “which”  reliable banking source to contact, when and if they need to refinance, (either) their primary home, and or investment property etc.

But it’s some of their other, less conventional, local professional resources, which may serve them equally as well, long term!

While Traditional Advertising Methods Are Often Very Expensive! (Power Marketing On The Other Hand Typically Is Not!)

So let’s say this power realtor duo sells a nice (professional couple), a well maintained upscale single family residence for $975,000 dollars.

And their well earned commission, which they split-50/50 with another real estate brokerage firm, is a total of six percent.Which means, they grossed 3% of the sale, so they earned $29,250 dollars!

Of course, this is before they deduct any of their ongoing expenses, to first locate the ideal property seller, list and actively promote the property etc.Using both free and paid marketing/promotional methods etc.($975,000 x .03% = $29,250 dollars, before your silent uncle steps in!)

Now unlike 90% of their major competitors, they’re not going to rely, strictly on conventional advertising means, and traditional referral generating methods, to uncover their next paying customer!No way!

Instead of just throwing some of their hard earned commission dollars, at costly, conventional advertising methods!They prefer, (instead), to do a little strategic power marketing!

Some Small Business Owners Love Fancy Advertising Campaigns! (While Others Prefer Effective Lead Generation Strategies Instead!)

Case in point: since this incredibly successful realtor couple, has established many, extremely viable and profitable joint venture partner relationships over the years, they actually prefer to aggressively tap into those networks first, in order to generate, and or create, brand new first time business opportunities!(And build out from there.)

And to generate some long term, positive word of mouth & mouse buzz! So watch “how” they strategically leverage their JV partners, products or services, to help them generate more word of mouth referrals.

For ex: since they already know the high income earning, professional couple, (along with their two teenage high school age kids), they just sold this particular house to, love to have or attend cookouts in the summer!

About two weeks before the couple actually takes physical possession of the house, and starts moving in!The marketing savvy realtors, contacts one of their main JV partners,(a local upscale retail appliance) store owner, and they arrange to purchase a high end, state of the art barbecue grill at the appliance dealers actual cost!

Entrepreneur The Main Purpose Of Your Advertising Is To Generate Some Bankable Results!(Not Just Run Up Your Expenses!)

Which means, instead of paying the normal retail price of $1,599 for it, instead the realtor pays just $965 dollars, which includes all applicable taxes & fees etc.

And they arrange to have the grill placed, (unbeknownst) to the home buyers, in their garage!Along with a free 20 LB bag of charcoals, along with a sealed enveloped, with the word “Congratulations”, marked on the outside, in big bold red letters!

And the actual letter, (both) “thanks” and congratulates the couple on the purchase of their brand new home and “thanks” them for choosing X realty!And the envelope also includes a $100 dollar grocery store coupon!

Ladies & gentlemen, you can well imagine the power couples shock and totally amazement, not to mention, pure delight, when they discover “what” X realty has done for them! After the sale!Correct? For sure!

And you know, the text, tweets,  Facebook posts, phone calls, and constant bragging, at work, home and at the various social events, they will surely be attending, will be constantly flowing like a river? Right?

And here’s the really cool part!(So please pay close attention!)

Look For Subtle Opportunities To Power Market Not Just Advertise!

In order to show the savvy realtors their gratitude, they will invite them to their very first cookout! To help get rid of some yummy ribs,wings, cold ones, and tasty side dishes etc!

And here’s where the extremely marketing savvy realtors, start separating themselves from the pack even more! They make (darn) sure, they get the couples okay, before hand, and arrange to video tape different segments of the event, plus get the couple, (their customers) on video, in essence, providing an over the top testimonial style video!

They add the video tape segments, (to both) their youtube channel, and send the link, via an unscheduled “broadcast” email message, to their opt in email subscribers.Plus, add some of the best video segments to the “testimonial tab” of their WordPress blog.

So future visitors can see, just “how” they pamper and spoil their customers/clients!Ladies & gentlemen, you know this type of strategic power marketing, definitely beats old school advertising methods, right?
