See if you can follow this (real life) entrepreneurial,direct response marketing legend rock stars, approach, to both effective lead generation, and total lifetime customer value prospecting!

So there’s this real life, direct response marketing legend, that sells one of his DVD recordings, of a (lower priced), offline one day workshop.

And it currently retails for $595 dollars, but his total hard cost, to produce the eight accompanying DVD’s, and X number of pages workbook and snazzy looking case it comes in, cost him a grand total of just $95 dollars! 😀

Normally, he would or could use, the $500 dollar spread, to pay for outrageously expensive, traditional advertising costs, like full and half page ads, in various income opportunity magazines, and or publications etc.

That is, if he were attempting to market his small business marketing courses, like the vast majority of his peers! Instead, he’s more than content, to ethically bribe, as many of his non competitive contemporaries as possible!

(Important note: Entrepreneur, this particular marketing example, will cover the entire gamut of low cost,creative marketing alternatives!)

Increasing Your Overall Conversion Rates While Simultaneously Lowering Your Front End Lead Generation Costs Is An Incredibly Powerful Combination!

Here is one of the strategies he initially lived by! He approached personal development, direct response legends, Nightengale, Conant, about selling his course, to their ever increasing audience.

So here’s what N, C initially did, each time one of their extremely loyal customers purchased any one of their other courses, about marketing, starting your own business, and or being a successful entrepreneur etc!

They simply included one of this legendary marketers free 60 minute DVD’s, where the author spent the first 30 minutes, carefully explaining two or three of his specific money making strategies, and the remaining 30 minutes, interviewing 5 or 6 of his most successful clients!

Don’t Be Afraid To Over Deliver! (Because Your Target Audience Will Definitely Love It!)

Plus, he included one of his best market tested brochures, and instead of promoting his course for the normal retail price of $595 or X.

Instead N,C would simply include, (what appeared) to be a hand written post it note, stating for an extremely limited time, the recipient could call their toll free number and order this marketers complete DVD set, for just $249 dollars!

And save themselves a whopping 59% off the normal retail rate! And all N,C did was net an additional $154 dollars per sale!($595$249 = $154 dollars gross profit per sale!)

Minus all necessary fulfillment costs.

And in order to be sure, he didn’t overwhelm himself, N,C would only include about 300 inserts at a time. Because this marketer, already knew from past experiences, the type of individuals and or small business owners, and or service providers, that could engage him at his current hourly rates, and or the ability to do high end joint venture arrangements.

So he was content to find 5 or 6 potential JV partners, he could put together all types of contingency deals with, that would easily pay him six or seven figures per year, (hopefully) for at least the next 3 – 5 years!And that’s only on the his initial front end!

Really Effective Small Business Marketing Strategies Can Lead To Some Really Big Profits!

Here’s another one of his bread & butter marketing strategies, he would routinely speakers, that sponsored offline live, one to three day boot camp events.

And he would let them sell his  eight DVD set, at the back of the room, (again) for just $249, minus the $95 dollar hard cost and they just added an additional $154 dollars per sale, to their gross bottom line!

And again, the legendary direct response marketer, was more than happy, to add yet another semi qualified lead to his ever growing database, of potential leads to follow up on, by mailing them one of his extremely popular, and incredibly effective, lead generation DVD’s!

A certain percentage of them, if nothing else, typically purchased one of his twelve or sixteen week, weekly consulting packages!

Believe It Or Not You Definitely Currently Have More Than Enough Resources And Or Assets To Make A Go Of Things! (Or At Least Move Off Center!)

But here’s one other really cool bread & butter marketing strategy, he routinely used, to try and identify potential future consulting/JV partners.

If the particular (non competitive) speaker, had one main info product of their own, plus they tried to upsell their customers, their (offline) newsletter.

Typically they would include a free three month trial subscription, and then try and sell them the remaining 9 months, once their trial subscription ended.

This extremely savvy marketer, would offer to buy them an entire year of the speakers newsletter for free, if they upgraded and purchased his course, for the discounted price of $249 dollars!(Or X.)

Entrepreneur Don’t Ever Forget Your Small Business Has A Front And Back End Sales Funnel To It!

The bottom line ladies & gentlemen, this mega rock star, direct response marketing legend, routinely ethically bribed tons of other marketers, to strategically lead generate for him, for literally pennies on the dollar!

And they helped him uncover consulting clients and JV partners, he literally grossed million of dollars with!

So hopefully, you can see, “how” and why,savvy small business owners, and or service providers, can definitely help themselves big time, simply by understanding, the bare bones basics of effective lead generation strategies and or tactics!Don’t you agree?
