So did you happen to notice in part one, that even extremely (marketing) savvy
small business owners, can and definitely should find some creative free, and or extremely low cost ways, of strategically giving away valuable free stuff, to their valued customer/client and or patients, in order to steadily grow their businesses.
For sure, it seems a lot more likely and practical, for major corporate types, with extremely deep pockets, to write outrageously big checks, and in essence buy their initial customer/clients etc.
But when you start examining (much closer),the razor thin profit margins, of the all too typical, severely cash strapped small business owner and or service provider, there just doesn’t seem (or appear) to be nearly enough spread, in order to do much of anything, correct? 😀
Well, if you’re going to try and approach things, strictly from a conventional marketing/promotional sense, perhaps you’re on to something. But who says, or where is it written, you or major competitors, have got to take the conventional marketing/promotional approach?
So If Something Is Extremely Valuable And In High Demand Why Would Any Severely Cash Strapped Small Business Owner Continuously Give It Away To Begin With?
So picking up where part one left off; another incredibly profitable marketing strategy, the national beverage distributor will use, in order to systematically increase their brand new, first time customer and repeat customer base, through the us of local Mom & Pop retailers.
This particular gift shop, will offer a coupon for one large cup of whatever the subscriber prefers, in exchange for simply joining the retailers opt in email, and or mobile database list.
And in order for the customer to redeem the extremely “time sensitive” coupon, they can either physically print it out, or show the retailer coupon of it on their smart phone.
And when they do bring the coupon in to redeem it for the very first time, three really important things happen.
1.) First, the extremely savvy retailer just gained a brand new opt in email and or mobile marketing subscriber, which will dramatically lower their future costs, to contact the subscriber.Did they not?
2.) Next, once they drink their extra large cup of X, the retailers staff, automatically have been trained to offer them a chance to purchase a large “Big Gulp” type of plastic cup, and they are (both) allowed and highly encouraged to bring it back to the retailers shop on each future visit. 😀
And each time they do, they automatically save 74 (or X% off) their normal cost, for a big gulp beverage of their choice.
And every time they return, with a brand new potential first time customer, 18 & over, they automatically get a free fill up cup of X!
Or if they come alone, and bring their “Big Gulp” plastic cup, a refill is just .99 cents each, instead of the normal retail price of $3.79 (or X) per cup!This simple marketing ploy, causes a percentage of the retailers most loyal customers to automatically recruit potential brand new first time customers for the retailer!
3.) And even more brand new first time customers get exposed to the vendors exotic beverages, for literally pennies on the dollar!
Really Good Lead Generation Skills Are A Must!
Keep in mine, it’s ultimately the extremely marketing savvy national or regional, exotic beverage distributor, that’s supplying the local retailer with all of these exotic coffees and or teas etc. 😀
So all the local retailer has to do is, inexpensively test different marketing approaches, in order to discover which ones, consistently produce the most first time and loyal repeat customers!
So one of the other low cost marketing strategies the savvy retailer will test is, once a month, by way of either email, and or text message,(after they) have received the latest shipment of new exotic coffees or teas from the exotic beverage distributor, the retailer will hold (sponsor) special tastings, open only to their opt in email , and or text message members only! 😀
And all their other regular customers, can stick around, but they call only sample a free small sized sample!
Every opt in email/text message subscriber, that brings at least one potential new customer guest, whose 18, and over with them to the free monthly tastings, they automatically get entered into a free one day drawing!
Whose Says Your Small Business And Or Service Can’t Make It Rain!
Where the grand prize winner chosen by a staff member live, right in front of every body, the grand prize winner automatically wins a free 10 pound bag of the exotic coffee or tea of their choice!

This way the operator on the other end, knows this particular lead initially came from this specific retailer, and that business owner merely pays actual hard cost and shipping and handling fees, to get their first 10 pound bag of either exotic coffee, and or tea shipped directly to their place of business, and another separate order sent directly to their home!
This way, the local small business owners and or service providers, can inexpensively expose both their employees, customers, clients, patients ,and or associates at their place of business, and their close family members, friends and neighbors to the distributors beverages s well!
Again, for literally pennies on the dollar!And who’s footing the bill for all of these ongoing, non traditional marketing/promotional cost?
Why none other than the extremely marketing savvy national, and or regional exotic beverage distributor!
And the local retailer is merely leveraging the assets of the distributor, to inexpensively create, an extremely loyal, repeat customer base! 😀
So once you pull back a few layers of the onion, it’s not to hard to see “how” some of today’s savviest small business owners, consistently give away extremely valuable stuff, and still make a whole lot of money, correct? Now as is customary during this part of our show.
