Does it ever seem or appear to you, that certain small business owners and or service providers, have a secret weapon they consistently use to literally crush some of their major competitors?

Because it’s fairly obvious, they  don’t necessarily have the deepest corporate pockets!Correct?

Which, (please ) forgive my bias ladies, but it appeared to be a company, (or at least) this particular product, appeared to be targeting women! Because the sign/emblem on the car read, “Look Ten Years younger! Ask Me How!” (Or something) to that affect.

And of course, it’s not that we men don’t want, or have just as much burning desire, to retain our youthful looks, as the ladies! 😎

It’s just not an issue, with a solution, that’s as aggressively marketed to men!Anyway, here’s my first point, about small business owners and or self employed service providers, having to quickly become lean and mean asap!

Extremely Savvy Small Business Owners Have Got To Quickly Figure Out What Works And What Doesn’t!

Ladies & gentlemen, dime to donuts, with just a little strategic (and continuous) “testing”, the company that issued these emblems to their representatives/direct sales reps, could discover which main power headline approach, really piques the audience they’re targeting!

Case in point; let’s suppose, they pass out a simple three question survey and ask every woman guess, to list in order of  interest, which of the following three main power headlines, appeals to them the most.

1.) Sample power headline one: “Are You Seriously Interested In Looking And Feeling At Least Ten Years Younger?”

2.) Sample power headline two: “So How Much Would You Pay To Look And Feel At Least Ten Years Younger?”

3.) Sample power headline three: “Is It Really Possible To Look And Feel Ten Years Younger Without Spending A Fortune

On Outrageously Expensive Plastic Surgery?”

Now first of all, let me totally clear here!It’s entirely possible and likely, that (absolutely none of the previous three, main power headlines, will appeal to any of their target market!

Savvy Small Business Owners Can Successfully Compete When They Get Competitive!

But my main point is this; merely by strategically testing various benefit laden headline approaches, and asking (both) the first time ladies, that attend their weekly opportunity meetings, and the ladies that market their products, for immediate feedback.

And reward the best suggestions, $200 to $500 dollar ethical bribes! Once they discover which specific benefit and or benefits, get their juices flowing!

(Important note: In fact, to keep the extremely helpful feedback constantly going, why not create an (ongoing) weekly contest! Where each week, they reward, (both) the sales reps and the first time lady visitors, for the best new marketing ideas of the week, month, quarter and or the year!

    With free tools such as SurveyMonkey, it’s much easier these days to carry out market research such as you’re suggesting, so a really wise move.

    Also, with the potential high cost of acquiring any lead, as you point, it makes sense to look at higher ticket items.
