Three Simple Ways Savvy Entrepreneurs Stay One Or Two Steps Ahead Of Their Competitors!

So is there anything else worst, than consistently feeling like, you simply don’t  have enough time in your day, to do every thing you definitely know you need to be consistently doing? Welcome to the club!

But here’s the other thing, ever feel like all you’re basically doing, with regards to  certain aspects of your business, amounts to nothing more than standing still! And or running in place!

So I guess it stands to reason, that you’d be more than up to discover, (how)  some extremely savvy entrepreneurs  style=”color: #000000;”>(such as yourself), somehow consistently  manage, in spite of not having enough time in their day either, to always manage  to constantly stay one or two steps ahead of their major competitors! Is that a yes  or a yes?

Well, stick around! Because you’re about to discover, three incredibly simple ways, you can and definitely should start doing so too!

So What Are These Three Incredibly Simple Ways That Extremely Savvy Entrepreneurs Consistently Use To Stay One Or Two Steps Ahead Of Their Major Competitors?

(And Why Does It Make Perfect Sense For You And I To Be Consistently Using Them Too!)

First of all, it’s not because these extremely savvy and totally dedicated men & women know some little known “secret” the rest of us don’t! In fact, far from it!

Instead, it’s really more of a matter, of them being far more willing to consistently do certain things, that for whatever reasons, the vast majority of us simply aren’t!Now there’s an all too familiar tune! Don’t you agree?

So let’s quickly have a look at these three, supposedly simple things, they’re consistently doing, that the vast majority of us aren’t! And see what, (if ) any reasonable conclusions can be drawn!

And whether or not, it really makes economic sense, for us to at least, consistently be doing some of, if not all of it too!Now remember, you only need to read further, if you’re both serious and totally dedicated to comfortably remaining one or two steps ahead of your major competitors!

1.) The first thing we need to be consistently doing: My friend, there is simply no question! One of your main daily or weekly “must do” activities, has got to be, consistently creating some form of problem solving “how to” content, directed specifically at your target audience!

Seriously, stop and think about at least your four (recurring) major benefits for doing so!

A.) First major benefit: Entrepreneur, it’s a heck of a lot less expensive and time consuming for you to create a series of 2-5 minute, problem solving “how to” videos and or create some problem solving blog post content, that you frequently publish on your mobile responsive WordPress blog.

And immediately convert them into slideshare presentations. As opposed to constantly trying to hire actual sales reps to go out prospecting for new customers and clients!(Don’t you agree?)

Because you’re content, (unlike ) those high performing sales reps, will never call in sick or threaten to quit and go work for your major competitors! 😎

B.) Second major benefit: That very same problem solving “how to” content, can relatively easily be converted into a single or podcast series. And hopefully reach even more potential subscribers, that hopefully eventually convert into new customers and clients!

And even if you don’t convert it into another form of content, using a different medium, it’s still working for you 24/7!(And it never takes weekends or holidays off! 😎 )

C.) Third major benefit: Other highly influential bloggers can, (and most likely will) not only consistently link to your content, but consistently socially share it all over the web as well! (Entrepreneur, do you really think someone is really gonna take the time to forward one of your ads to a friend or relative!Really? 😎  )

D.) Four major benefit: Your extremely valuable problem solving “how to” content, could very well lead to, (down the line of course) and after you’ve had a chance to gut it and refine it a few times!

But it could very possibly lead to beginning, intermediate and advanced, paid one on one classes, (and or ongoing paid consulting sessions) and or seminars/tele-seminars or paid webinars etc!Imagine that!(And you’ll have recordings of your tele-seminars and or webinars and they can be given away in the future for lead generation purposes!

Or to constantly generate “bank account” filling testimonials! 😎

All that long term marketing potential from a single “how to” blog post, that you absolutely did not want to write in the first place! 😎

A Proven Content Marketing Strategy Is Relatively Cheap By Comparison!

 2. The Second thing we need to be consistently doing: The next thing that you can and definitely should do, to stay one or two steps ahead of your, “not so on top of things” major competitors!

Entrepreneur, make sure, (going forward) that your blog and or website is mobile friendly/responsive! Because according to the most recent statistics, (currently) about a whopping 35% of your daily traffic is coming directly from someone’s mobile device!

And here’s the biggie! According to the vast majority of experts that study all this type of data to no end! They’re projecting that as early as the end of 2016!

So it’s not that far down the road! Mobile access will have over 80% market penetration! So if you’re site still looks old school!

Guess what? Your potential audience is gone! And will more than likely land on one of your major competitors sites! And well, you know “how” the rest of that deal plays out, right?

3.)  The third thing we need to be consistently doing: Look, whether you like it or not, you,me and all of you current and future major competitors, we’re all living in the age of social media!!

And so are your current, future and ex customers and clients! So stop fighting this proven and (oh so) necessary form of communication and marketing! You’d better get seriously active on the social media platforms that the vast majority of your customers and or clients are on!

Because according to the data the experts have collected, a staggering 35% of consumers, (at least in America), readily admit, their decisions to buy were (to some degree or the other), highly or somewhat influenced by what they read and see on one of the many extremely popular social media platforms!

Bottom line, either get with the program asap! Or you absolutely run the real risk of being swept aside by your current and future major competitors, that are catering to your audience better!Don’t you agree?

So that’s the three incredibly simple ways, that extremely savvy entrepreneurs (such as yourself), consistently stay one or two steps ahead of their major competitors! Any questions?

  3. Hi Mark 🙂

Great article, must say, “How to” articles deliver, because they 1. they as you mentioned provides help, actionable insight 2. such articles are evergreen thus never loose their value even after years, they are always relevant and due such rich attributes they get a lot of attention.

Coming to your second point of “according to the data the experts have collected, a staggering 35% of consumers, (at least in America), readily admit, their decisions to buy were (to some degree or the other), highly or somewhat influenced by what they read and see on one of the many extremely popular social media platforms!” true that, according to a study conducted by Accenture “70 per cent of internet users trust e-WOM” (1)

That is 70%, so you need high rich, ever green, actionable content on your brand website to gain trust of your customers consequently gaining way to their pockets! 😉

    That’s my few cents!

keep it up, Have a nice day!

  4. Hi Mark! You hit the nail on the head with “never enough time in the day” since I’m working my online business part time along with my insurance business. Have gotten into the habit of doing a Sunday Motivation blog and content for business building during the week. I like your idea of “how to” content and eventually turning it into pod casts. Will put that on my “to do” list. Looks like my blog is mobile (purely by accident!) Have been hesitant about using Facebook for people other than family and friends so I am working on a Facebook page. I’m starting to tweet and have linkedin but that’s about it so far. I enjoy your content and look forward to coming back in the future 🙂
