Online Marketing: Five glaringly Obvious Reasons Why Far Too Many Newbies Fail!

Do you know any body that’s just starting out online? And or is completely new to online marketing.  If you do, the chances are extremely good, they are very excited, optimistic and their confidence   and  enthusiasm is currently at an all time high! And hey for some very good reasons. They are  attempting to become a self sufficient entrepreneur of sorts!

In fact, don’t you just admire the methodical way (initially anyway), they’re going about studying and  applying “what” they’ve learned and been exposed to so far!

And the really cool part is, (initially) those first few setbacks and or slightly disappointing results,    really doesn’t phase them! Not at all! Have you noticed that as well?

It’s typically not until they’re about 90-120 days into their brand new venture, (give or take) that    their consistent lack of any real bankable results really starts to wear on them!

And friends, it’s right here where I must “warn” you, that if they or you don’t avoid constantly repeating and or falling prey to these five all too common pitfalls! Your online marketing success, is going to remain (both) a mystery, that’s practically impossible to solve!

And it will remain just another unfulfilled long term pipe dream! With very little chance of ever becoming a reality! Nod your heads cadets, it’s true!

Five Glaringly Obvious Reasons Why Far Too Many Newbies Fail At Online Marketing!

 (And “What” You Must Do Right Now In Order To Change It!)

Ladies & gentlemen, it’s crucial you understand, you can do a lot of things right, but you violate these five extremely critical things (and or) ignore them altogether, and your online marketing dream (more than likely) is going up in flames! And you’ll spend most of you time being extremely frustrated!

1.) Extremely crucial reasons # one: This first one is huge! Far too many on and offline newbie marketers, mistakenly “think” it’s all about them! Instead of focusing their entire marketing messages on “how” their business, product and or service, “benefits” their end user customer and or client!

Or “how” their product and or service solves the customer and or clients most pressing wants and or needs!

2.) Extremely crucial reasons # two: Desperately trying to “match” the wrong audience to the wrong offer for them! In other words, in congruence at it’s worst! For ex; when you direct (snail mail) an offer to a cold list of names! They may not necessarily know you and or have any current interest in your offer!

 Always Make Sure Your Marketing Strategies Are Congruent With Your Target Audience!

3.) Extremely crucial reasons # three: This one is potentially huge! Over hyping your offer, but grossly under performing as well! That is a recipe for (both) on and offline negative word of mouth and mouse publicity blitz!

4.) Extremely crucial reasons # four: Making sure your offers are laser focused and you’re not trying to be all things to all potential prospects!

5.) Extremely crucial reasons # five: Failing to pick a specific niche and or sub niche and become the recognized go to expert within that specific niche first!Then attempt to cast your net wide!Go narrow and extremely deep first!

In other words, initially you want to drill down as deep as you can within a specific niche instead of trying to go too wide and attempt to appeal to any and every one! Big mistake!

Those five extremely crucial reasons, is “why” far too many newbie marketers fail miserably (initially anyway) at online marketing! Any questions?

  2. Hey Mark,

    Here I am once again! As always loving your post. Looking back when I first started blogging, I didn’t really know what I was doing or better yet why. Before that I was selling soybean candles and spent way too much time doing the wrong things. So I figured when I got into blogging I had to know what to do, how to do it. The problem that I ran into was marketing myself for candles was very different of marketing myself for my blog.

    Oddly I never thought of myself as much as a writer, which makes it a bit difficult when you are managing your blog. 🙂 So through the past 6 years I have found myself, lost myself then tried once again to reinvent myself. I treat my blog like a business, so I work every day some days longer than I should to more or less find my groove. I do make money, not as much as I would like, but in saying that I am trying to diversify my incomes coming in. I might finally be on my way in the right direction. I have found for me I can do more than one niche because I finally found myself enjoying promoting Disney and from there a lot of it has fallen into place.

      instructor (during a live webinar) took us into the Cpanel section of his web hosting
      company!

      And we saw all those categories, my head was spinning and burning up wit excitement,
      all at the same time!LOL!

      go on failing forward!LOL!
