Lead Generation: How To Turn Lunch Time Into Prime Customer Acquisition Opportunities!Part Five

Hopefully, as you’ve previously discovered in the first four installments about consistently profiting  from proven lead generation strategies, the better you get at proven lead generation strategies, the  lower your traditional upfront cost  will be.

Keep in mine, most non “think outside the box” traditional small business owners and or service  providers, really just aren’t that good at any type of cost effective lead generating.

And they would probably welcome any real  assistance. That being said, let’s go back to our local  magician, that while they’re extremely talented, they haven’t quite got the hang of this marketing stuff,  just yet.

And that’s where the local savvy family orientated Mom & Pop restaurant owner steps in.

How To Put Your Lead Generation Efforts On Steroids!

First, let’s look at this whole lead generation process from the restaurant owners stand point. Since  they’re hosting “Kids are cool day” once per month. And they’re paying a  (non marketing savvy)  local magician a flat fee to entertain the kids. Why not bring in the local photographer, that specializes  in family portraits.

Let them offer any parents that’s attending the “Kids are cool day” event, one free rather nice sized photo of their little angel(s). Because (entrepreneur) you have to know what’s gonna happen at least 80% of the time, when the parent gets hold of that glossy don’t you?

Think about what just happened, a ready made semi qualified crowd of parents whose kid or kids is already having a really good time! They’re getting their picture taken, can you say multiple streams of income?

The savvy photographer will encourage all of the parents to enter their free drawing, right then and there.

At the end of the event, (at least) two things just happened.

A.) The photographer (or business or service provider X), just got exposed to for literally pennies on the dollar, a semi qualified pool of potential new prospects, did they not?

B.) They choose their grand prize winner, plus they’re building a ready list of semi qualified prospects, to systematically follow up with, via snail mail, mobile and or opt in email marketing.

Whose says lead generation strategies have to be complicated or expensive, in order to be profitable? Next, the photographer going forward, is going to offer the restaurant owners special new customer only VIP discount coupons, as part of their free bonuses valued at X!

Every time a new customer purchases a minimum amount of their services. Entrepreneur, are these the type of proven lead generation strategies, that make sense or what?

And the savvy restaurant owner could either get a revenue share from the photographer or just charge the photographer a flat fee per event and simply use that money to ethically bribe their best repeat customers to keep referring and supplying bank account filling testimonials! Don’t you agree? If they’re are no further questions.

  1. Hi Mark,

I agree with you that we need to be creative in generating leads but one strategy may work for one but may not work for another. I loved your example and it fits the creative personality I think that is always thinking outside the box.

I think the personality is really the number one key factor for our choice of which is the best strategy. Some people are analytical, others are social and others are creative. The strategy we choose need to fit our personality.

Thanks for a great post Mark!! It was really thought provoking. Have yourself a great rest of the week.

    • Excellent point Neamat!

Although I certainly hope that anyone reading my posts are not thinking that the
emphasis has to be on so called marketing creativity!

Because it certainly doesn’t. Instead, these non traditional
marketing concepts are merely trying to demonstrate how you can use what’s readily available and still
      get to the same outcome.

And that there are most definitely viable, although not necessarily traditional marketing options.

But you’re right, if you can’t relate to the examples or can actually see yourself implementing
at least some fundamentally sound variation of the concepts, you’re being exposed to.

All it will ultimately be is just more unused theory, for you to simply dismiss as un realistic! And
that would truly be a shame. Great insight and thanks for pointing it!

And as always, thanks for your continued support and positive feedback. Both are greatly appreciated! And you
be sure and enjoy the rest of your week as well!

  2. Hi Mark,

Thinking outside the box when it comes to lead generation is the key! I liked the example you have given.

This took me back to when I was working offline and did something similar. I had my brick and mortar Psychic shop and offered services to do parties.

What I would do is give the person who was running the party a “free reading” and they had to have at least 10 guests. I sure got paid well doing those gigs back in the day.

The point was, the person hosting the party had the incentive to do it because she wanted that “free reading” She told all her friends, then they had a “taste” of what I do and became my clients. They in turn started to have parties.

After you think of the math, I did have to hire other people to help out lol. It was wild. I even used to do a lot of corporate gigs….huge money makers.

But I digress…Knowing these principles that I have done in the past and know that they work well, just like the magician did, I took this concept online with my marketing.

    BOOM!

    • Awesome Donna!

I absolutely love your marketing mind! As I was reading your example, I got so
pumped! It was just like reading a text book case study in super savvy marketing strategies 101!

That was so cool, offering a free reading for the party host and demonstrating your expertise!

And anticipating that others will most definitely want to follow suit! That had to be
totally awesome when you were strategically building your customer base, using that totally
      awesome marketing strategy!

Donna your example is darn impressive, if it’s okay, I’m going to make both a how to video
and blog post highlighting what you shared! Thank you so much for sharing it
and for your continuous support! Both are greatly appreciated!
