Brand Management: Five Simple Things You Can and Must Do Right Now To Enhance Yours!

Are you starting to notice just “how” much real continuous (ongoing) effort it really takes, in order to accomplish and maintain some effective brand management results?

You kinda of never get to take any decent amount of time off, do you? Nope! As  it is with most of the really crucial elements of your resourced challenged small business and or service. But alas, as with most things, they are certain (proven) steps that you can and should take, in order to improve the overall productivity of your business, without necessarily automatically having to increase your (extremely) tight budget.

In order to do so. Sound good? Then by all means, please do read on, in order to discover “what” exactly is going to be required of you….

Introducing Five Incredibly Simple Things You Can And Should Do Right Now In Order To Positively Enhance Your Brand Management Efforts!

Sadly, far too many otherwise extremely savvy entrepreneurs/solo-preneurs etc, don’t view their all important (ongoing) brand management efforts as the potentially profitable long term business asset, that it can  and should be! Which means, that instead of proactively managing it, they let the mismanagement of it become a costly (profit draining)liability.

The following five battlefield suggestions, are designed to help you to prevent that from happening in the future.

1.) Requirement # one: Entrepreneur, please take the time (and financial investment needed) to carefully train your staff/employees etc.

Because after all, whether you realize it or accept it or not. They are the ambassadors of goodwill and the face of your company to general public! Right? And carefully and fully training them, reflects well on your bottom line! Does it not?

2.) Requirement # two: The next part of that (ongoing)  success equation is to be sure you more than adequately compensate (pay) your key personnel! (After all, the -better they feel appreciated, the better they’ll perform their duties and the better they’ll treat your customers and or clients!) Don’t you agree? Which means, you’ll ultimately make more money!

3.) Requirement # three: Not to sound like Captain Obvious, but whenever you can, (entrepreneur), it’s always best that you be as prompt as you can be! That always help further your cause. On or offline.(And when err, err on the side of your extremely valuable customers or clients!)

4.) Requirement # four: Don’t or stop making your extremely valued customer or clients jump through hoops in order to get problems of any kind resolved. Especially when your end is at fault!

5.) Requirement # five: When it comes to (really) effective customer service, there’s old (evergreen) saying, “out serve your competition, don’t just criticize them!” Here here!

Build powerful (unshakable) rock solid – competition proof- relationships with your best customer and clients over time, by constantly under promising and over delivering!

And my friend, you will definitely be well on your way to consistently achieving some positive brand management results! Don’t you agree?

Please list at least two simple spin off concepts (in the comments section below) that you can apply to your business, product or service in the next 30 days or less!

  1. Hi Mark,

You sure give great advice to the small business owner my friend. Although I’m still a one man show I have been in corporate America and understand how it is to treat your employees and customers.

Most of my business revolves around my consulting business so like Donna I am on the phone a lot. Just this morning when I called my client he was very impressed that I was right on time never wavering at all. You have to be in control and take charge or time will get away with them and they’ll totally forget all about you.

This is a reflection of who you are and how you run your business so I think that’s a good example as well at least for me.

Thanks for pointing these out Mark and as always for your sage advice.

    • Excellent coach!

Thank you for your incredibly kind words! And as far as punctuality is concerned, I
would not expect anything less from you! And I think it’s very obvious that whatever you’re doing.

It’s definitely working! As always, thanks so much for taking time to stop by and share your thoughts!

Your support is much needed and greatly appreciated!

  2. Hi Mark,

Another excellent post! Your advice is spot on. I’ve mismanaged my business in the past long ago and learned from the good old school of hard knocks!

I strongly feel it all comes down to our time management. By that I mean we have to be there for our customers/clients. But be there in a time slot that works for us so we can give them our full attention.

I have to be on the phone a good portion of my day for my clients. Now, I set the time up, I call them, so I can take control of my business.

This may sound like a little simple thing, but if I left it up to them, they can call late, may forget, etc. This will domino to all my other clients. So that’s my first rule.

This way I can arrange appointments with people and give them my full attention. Customer service is the backbone of business.

It amazes me when I call a client and they are surprised how punctual I am. Sounds silly but it makes a great impression.

Loved the points you have made here and of course your awesome video!

    • As always your too kind coach!

But thanks for your kind words just the same! But I couldn’t agree more about punctuality and
it’s long term affects on our bottom line. And as you so eloquently stated, great customer service is the back bone our businesses.

In fact, back when you & David did your very first consultation with me,
one of the first things that really impressed me right out of the gate was how punctual (and extremely forth coming!) the two of you were!

Our initial consultation felt more like a couple of old friends that were merely catching up! And oh yes, I learned quite a bit too! And as far as my videos go, if you keep encouraging me, I’ll have no choice after the swelling of my head shrinks!LOL! But to continue to make them!

Seriously, as always, thanks so much for showing me the way and always leading by example coach! Your constant constructive feedback, guidance, coaching are much needed and greatly appreciated! Please continue to keep in touch!
