As you previously discovered in part two of this series about “how” planting acorns is an awful lot  like successfully growing your business. Part one basically dealt with demonstrating this incredibly  powerful marketing/philosophy concept, using an online example.

And the product was a digital information product. Just so the offline small business owners and or  service providers don’t feel left out.  Part two will demonstrate this incredibly powerful concept using  a really simple offline (hypothetical) example. Fair enough?

You don’t have to automatically increase your expenses, in order to increase your income!

 Wanna See Even Further Proof That Planting Acorns Is An Awful Lot Like Growing Your Business!

Suppose your town/city gives one or more of those sponsored (one day) or two day weekend festivals. You know, a gazillion people pack into the local park and there’s music, way over priced greasy food, crafts and all types of activities for the kids and there’s even stuff for the teenage crowd as well.

You basically, casually stroll around looking for reasons (excuses) to purchase some of the over priced food! Typically the vendors pay a fee to set up shop and they try and make as much money as they can in as short a period of time as possible! 😎 Sounds reasonable don’t you think? But truth told, they (and hopefully) not you, are making a huge mistake!Huh?

Case in point: what if they (you) did this instead! First, take a more broad long range approach to systematically growing your business. Let’s say both you and the other two vendors located on either side of you (at this festival), all sell a really “big gulp” soda for $4.79 (or X.)

And some of the locals will readily pay it! But “what” if you take a more long term marketing leverage approach, and do this instead. Place a big sign in front of your booth or be sure you tweet this announcement a few times, a few days until the actual event, and mention it on your Facebook fanpage as well!

Your Local One Or Two Day Festivals Are Potential Goldmines!

You offer a special festival price for your big gulp of only $.99 cents or X! Or you can do this exact same concept with any of your most popular food products.Huh?

Anyway, a gazillion of the locals (hopefully) decide it’s so much cheaper to pay $.99 cents for your big gulp, instead of the $4.79 that your competitors are asking!

But here’s the kicker! (So please pay close attention!) You also, offer every purchaser a special VIP discount coupon card (and if they want) they can pay one dollar to have the card laminated, and for the next year, they can come to your business and buy the big gulp (or whatever product you choose to offer!) and pay just $.99 cents!

Think about “how” many repeat visits this simple marketing ploy will generate! And the best part is, the festival pays all the initial  upfront money to produce the crowd! Not you! You’re just strategically leveraging it into some serious long term profits! Can you see that?
