Where You Go Dreadfully Wrong When Marketing Products And Services!Part Two

As you previously discovered in part one of this series about where far too many otherwise extremely savvy cash strapped entrepreneurs go wrong when marketing products  and services, you try in vain to go it totally alone! And nobody, but especially a small cash starved struggling small business owner and service provider, can really afford to do that!

Especially when there are literally tons of other local small business owners in the exact same situation and you both need the same customer or client, and you’re non competitive to each other!

Entrepreneur, that is simply a potential long term money making opportunity no savvy entrepreneur such as yourself can afford not to take advantage of! As you will soon see…..

Successfully Marketing Products And Services Doesn’t Have To Be Hard!

For ex: suppose you happen to run or knows someone that runs one of the upscale fancy local hotels. And typically during the winter months, even though they serve their more affluent clientele year round.

They may not get as many of the typical customers, (meaning- the blue collar middle income type) during this traditionally slow period. That being the case, here’s a couple of really simple things your hotel could inexpensively test.

First; in order to create some really quick positive word of mouth and social media marketing buzz! Why not offer any of your current guests the opportunity to upgrade to one of your more expensive suites, for a fraction of the traditional cost!

Plus, throw in free room service to boot! For ex; suppose the current room they have is $275 dollars per night (or X.)

Offer them another far more extravagant suite that would normally go for $ $475 – 750 per night! Since the suite is currently sitting empty anyway, why not let this paying customer have it, for just an additional$100 – $200 dollars more per night, than they’re paying for their current room!

Think about what just happened for a second. For a mere $100 – $200 dollars per night more, you just potentially created not only a brand new  repeat customer, but they’ll become one of your best long term social media advocates!

Because they’ll be tweeting and posting pics all over their Facebook pages and texting friends and family members etc! You filled a more expensive room that was sitting empty, plus you’ll never generate that much  positive customer good will from a traditional $100 – $200 dollar investment with traditional advertising methods! Don’t you agree?
