As you previously discovered in part one about ‘why” you definitely need to stop ignoring or totally overlooking these three incredibly profitable, battlefield tested marketing techniques.

Your time and other extremely valuable resources, are simply far too scarce for you to constantly keep implementing costly ht & miss marketing strategies. The results are basically nil and meanwhile your money keeps shrinking. This is so not good! Don’t you  agree?

Picking up where strategy # one from part one of this series left off. As you recall, your local printer or local dry cleaner for that matter, was offering a special VIP offer of 8.5 x 11 one sided copies -at your actual cost- for one year. (Or three months or whatever makes economic sense entrepreneur! It’s the concept here, not the specific examples!And or specific industry!))

Anyway, your real purpose for this type of  long term marketing offer is to strategically lock a certain percentage of your best customers. And get them used to accessing your services for a relatively low cost.

You can bet a certain percentage of them will want and need more expensive products and services at some point. Here’s where your marketing savvy can and will pay off big time! If you implement.

First, “why” not reward (ethically) bribe every customer that takes advantage of your twelve month (or X number of months) 8.5 x 11  one sided -at your actual cost-  promotion. You’ll automatically upgrade them to (any jobs) they want and they can save 10-25% off their next three jobs! Provided they give away two of your locked in twelve month -at your actual cost –  gift certificates! (The quicker they give away your time sensitive gift certificates, the higher the guaranteed savings they get off their next number of jobs!)

(You gotta inexpensively test) in order to discover what price percentage produces the initial highest response rates.)

Think about it; they’ll go out  and bring you potential new -long term repeat customers- for literally pennies on the dollar! And your service (be it a) local printer, dry cleaner or whatever) will lock them in for the next X number of months or X number of purchases, and some of them no doubt will upgrade to your more expensive products and services! (Plus testimonials, keep referring potential repeat long term customers (or clients) and throw in the occasional testimonial to boot!)
